Hi All,

i just rejoined Seti after taking a break when the BOINC projects ended.
I am having trouble installing BOINC as it complains about my username
password? I can login to the Seti site so I am at a loss for words what is going on.

I keep getting emails every day or so with this message...

"Greetings from Science United. We haven't heard from your computer yet. Please make sure that the latest version of BOINC is installed and running."

Any idea what's happening?

The BOINC client itself should not require a password for installation, only the specific projects. SETI@Home stopped distributing work three years ago (see the main page) and is not expected to return.

There are still plenty of other active BOINC-based projects to choose from though.

However the OP has managed (or been tricked into) using Science United which may cause random issues, and most certainly blocks user choice when it comes to selecting the projects they run.
