The Clarence saga continues.

"Not appropriate": Public Venmo transactions reveal lawyers with SCOTUS business paid Thomas' aide.

And none of those involved want to talk about it.

A peer chimes in on the current morally crippled SCOTUS bunch.

A federal judge harshly criticized the Supreme Court's recent ethics scandals in a NYT essay: 'What in the world has happened'.

....In his essay, the senior judge laid into the high court over a series of reports from news outlets across the country detailing repeated apparent conflicts of interest by both left and right-wing members of the court.

In 2023 alone, publications have revealed Justice Clarence Thomas accepted undisclosed gifts and lavish travel accommodations by a billionaire, that Justice Samuel Alito took an expensive fishing vacation with another billionaire who later had business before the court, and that Justice Sonia Sotomayor's taxpayer-funded staff has often push institutions to purchase her books.

"If reports are true," he wrote, "some of our justices are, sadly, letting us down," before saying that instituting a code of ethics for the Supreme Court would be an improvement.....

Sammy isn't doing anything to help better the situation instead displaying more of their seemly elitist nature. We're above being judged.

Justice Alito says Congress lacks the power to impose an ethics code on the Supreme Court.

More of crooked Clarence's exploits come to light further lowering the public respect for the court.

"Staggering levels of grift": Experts say Clarence Thomas trips expose SCOTUS corruption "crisis".

I wonder how many more "patrons" that Clarence has had?

Clarence just keeps on sinking further into the world of slime.

"What are we going to find out next?": Clarence Thomas' shocking ethics scandal "sickens" experts.

Legal and political experts have erupted with disgust online Thursday after a report revealed Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas has participated in two Koch donor summits and ultimately aided the political network, which has appeared before the high court in multiple cases — including one of the most highly anticipated of the upcoming term — in its efforts to raise funding.

According to ProPublica, who conducted interviews with three former network employees and one major donor, Thomas has attended Koch donor events at least twice over the years with the justice, staffers said, being flown in to speak in hopes that it would encourage attendees to continue donating. Thomas did not report the 2018 flight he took to Palm Springs for the Koch organization's annual summit on his disclosure form, and a spokesperson for the network told ProPublica it did not pay for the jet.

As the outlet notes, Thomas' participation in the events is part of a yearslong, personal relationship he has with the networks founders — libertarian billionaires David and Charles Koch — that has largely remained out of the public eye and sprouted from years of trips to the Bohemian Grove, a secretive, all-men's retreat in Northern California Thomas has attended for two decades.....
Between him and his crooked wife they certainly make a criminal duo that belong behind bars.

Clarence and Sammy won't like those numbers.

Voter support for Supreme Court ethics reform is high amid spate of critical stories.

....But unlike most of the other independent polls, the new POLITICO | Morning Consult survey digs into specific reform proposals, most of which are quite popular, despite dim prospects of them being enacted by Congress or put into place by the justices themselves.

In addition to the 75 percent of voters — a bipartisan consensus of 81 percent of Democrats, 72 percent of Republicans and 69 percent of independents — who support a binding ethics code, roughly two-thirds of voters support term limits for the justices (68 percent). A similar percentage (67 percent) say the court should televise oral arguments, while 66 percent believe there should be an age limit for the justices. A smaller majority, 60 percent, think there should be an equal number of Democrats, Republicans and independents on the high court......

Most of that look like good ideas, but we must remember this is the U.S. and good ideas seem to upset some political groups.

The dirt comes out on Amy.

Amy Coney Barrett better run for cover after this new bombshell.

Something creepy this way comes…just in time for Halloween!

This morning, the New Yorker dropped a bombshell expose about the shady practices of the Alliance Defending Freedom, a favorite organization of the right for its proudly anti-gay, anti-bodily autonomy agenda. Several ADF alumni have clerked for right-wing agents in positions of power, including Amy Coney Barrett and Samuel Alito. More than that, Barrett has been a paid speaker at ADF events previously.

But that’s not all: new information has also come to light about a Christian “cult” that Coney Barrett was a longtime member of. The FBI looked into the organization known as the “People of Praise” and unearthed some truly chilling details.

Because surprise surprise, the People of Praise has apparently been covering up the abuse of at least five ex-members, according to the new report.....
The crooks are really running the show now.

Whereas here down under Supreme Court judges are not above the law or a law unto themselves.

Supreme Court judge arrested and charged before unusual closed court session.

A Supreme Court judge is facing criminal offences for the first time in 200 years after the Tasmanian man was charged with assault and emotional abuse.

Supreme Court Justice Gregory Geason, 62, appeared before Hobart Magistrates Court in an out-of-session sitting on Friday night after he was charged with the two offences.

The media was refused access to proceedings with the Tasmanian Department of Justice confirming the court was restricting any reporting of the name of the “affected person” in accordance with the Family Violence Act.....
Sounds like he's a wife bashing lowlife going on that last bit.

Meanwhile back in the U.S. the crooked greedy far right supporters continue to do their usual thing in support of their crooked and greedy pet supreme court judges.

Senate Committee Authorizes Subpoenas of Harlan Crow and Leonard Leo as Part of Supreme Court Ethics Probe.

The Senate Judiciary Committee voted on Thursday to authorize subpoenas of billionaire businessman Harlan Crow and conservative legal activist Leonard Leo as part of the committee’s ongoing effort to investigate ethics lapses by Supreme Court justices.

But the ultimate fate of the subpoenas is uncertain. If Crow and Leo defy the information requests — which ask for a detailed accounting of gifts, transportation and lodging the two men provided or helped organize for Supreme Court justices and the justices’ relatives — Democrats would need a 60-vote majority to enforce the subpoenas. Currently, Democrats hold a one-vote advantage in Congress’ upper chamber.

Republicans have mounted fierce opposition to the inquiry into Crow and Leo, who have for months refused to comply with the committee’s requests. The vote to issue the subpoenas fell along party lines, with all 11 of the Democrats voting in favor and most Republicans walking out of the hearing in protest as the vote was taken.

Sen. Dick Durbin, D-Ill., the Judiciary Committee chairman, said at Thursday’s hearing that the revelations reported by news organizations including ProPublica spurred the committee’s action to demand more information about people close to the justices......
So line up with your $'s to get your own pet SCOTUS judge as all offers will be accepted.

Now who's the culprit? Clarence or Sammy? Or maybe even both?

Supreme Court Could Make 'Very Rare' Move Against Donald Trump.

But it looks like bad news is coming to the delusionally crooked Donny.

SCOTUS decided: Only we have the authority to decide who can be excluded from presidential elections, not courts or administrations in Colorado.

[EDIT to add:] "A house divided against itself, cannot stand."

Polls show: 97% of people who voted for Donald Trump in 2020s elections want to vote for him again, while 83% of Biden's voters will do so again.
