Well, that was an unusual bit of atmospherics...

One moment, we're shivering in cold dry air.

Next minute, we are in saturated damp warm air with an overpowering aroma of newly damp grass. (Nope, no machinery or psychedelics involved...)

That's the sharpest transition across a frontal system I've experienced in these parts... Feels like that came with a +10 deg C change in temperature!

As the sun rises on another Sunday down under it's a frosty 0C (feels like -3C).

Cheers.

Take good care of it as we see the last limb edge of golden red as the shadows rise up ever higher.

It would be good if it would kick my solar heating along a bit harder Martin, but it looks like I'll have to light the fire again to get it to a workable temp downstairs, as it's now only 2C (feels like -1C) here.

I think that with all the pieces of steel laying around downstairs now, with more to come yet, I better start welding some of them together today.

Cheers.

Time flies...

And is this winter or summer?...

Everyone seems to be hibernating inside. We might have summertime temperatures but by 'eck it's wintery stormy out there!

We missed Summer here this year, but we havn't missed out on Winter as the temp here this morning was a frosty -3C (felt like -6C).

At least we should get back into double digits today with 13C expected (that beats 8C).

Once things warm up enough I've got a bit more welding to do before doing more grinding today.

Cheers.

A few minutes after five in the morning. Stuck in a parking lot with car trouble. Have to wait until a parts house opens to get a replacement part for the cooling system. My car died at a traffic and I had to fight it to stay running long enough to park it in a parking lot. Luck is with me and the part is easy to replace. It is on top of the motor between the heads. All the way in front.

Our weather has moderated. Nice cool and breezy 58f with a low 80 for the expected high.

7:30 am and still stranded. Parts house in walking distance from car doesn’t have the part but another location does. So a 1.5 hour wait until a part delivery is made. The part is not the cheapest either. Just glad it is easy to get at and replace.

The mercury here has again pulled into Frostville so I guess that I'll head off to bed while it's still Monday.

Cheers.

Finally home. Swapped the new part in and got so errands done. Topped off the antifreeze level and so far the car is running fine.

Very good to stay maintained!

Meanwhile, we're basking in summertime sunshine but where is everyone else? Is there something good on TV to keep people hidden inside? Or is everyone queuing at and outside the airports trying to escape??...

Well, I'm still here, sort of.
Enjoying the delights of sorting out a job on my boat and getting everything ready for visits to two client sites on Wednesday - they are only a couple of miles apart, one is sort out some broken audio cables (again - they keep moving things that are screwed to the both wall and floor!), and the other is do a bit of installation survey and configuration stuff (should be good fun unless it's very hot). Tomorrow will be reading manuals and making phone calls.

Winning on a Tuesday morning down under where the temp has slowly risen overnight.

More cutting, grinding and welding will continue here today.

Cheers.

Did you enjoy your time away Mike?

Well the temp here did drop again giving this Tuesday an official misty 3C (feels like 1C) start while a mostly sunny 14C is expected.

Cheers.

Well I just got another 2 lengths of steel passed over the fence so I should be able to advance a few projects even further today.

Anyhow I'll have my final coffee break for the morning and then it'll be time for a bit more welding before heading back outside for more grinding and cutting.

Currently we're up to 11C (feels like 9C).

Cheers.

Quietly under a surreal full moon illuminating ethereal whispy clouds whilst basking in Mediterranean warmth.

Really, this is still old Blighty?...
