Posting on another dull day in the highlands down under, but we did get off to an 11C (felt like 9C) start with 19C and showers expected. Cheers. |

Well it's warmer here this morning than it has been for the last 2 days with the temp here already up to 16C (feels like 13C) as I'm about to resume my trench warfare. I've got a lot swinging to do with the pick/axe end of the mattock this morning braking up hard rocky bits that are a bit too much for the chipping hoe and then the trench from the shed to the front gate will be finished. I'll just have to dig out the other side of the gate then with a lot of wisteria roots to deal with. Cheers. |

Posting on a Thorsday morning. That may very well be true but it's only hump day here on the upper left coast so I am posting while crunching GWs 24/7 on 3 GPUs over at E@H, so there you go. |

It looks like our 1st frost here has been postponed until sometime next month now which is ok by me as today at sunrise the temp here was 11C (felt like 10C) with 21C expected. Anyhow, seeing as we dodged the overnight rain, I guess that I should get out to my trench today and punch it through out to the front so that it actually drains somewhere (I hope, or I've got a lot more digging to do to get it out into the rear lane's drain). Cheers. |

After doing a bit of site clearing and surveying this morning I've decided to level out that section of trench that I cleared yesterday 1st to actually see how much work will be involved in getting under the fence, between 2 blocks of concrete and through a lot of wisteria roots (my shoulder started to ache just thinking about it). Cheers. |

It is surely very sunny above this impenetrably thick blanket of cloud cover. At least this time the grey fluffy stuff is flying a little above the ground! See new freedom: Mageia Linux Take a look for yourself: Linux Format The Future is what We all make IT (GPLv3) |

Bought a new mattress, First item on the installation instructions, I hope you don’t end up like Mrs. Hufnagnel on St. Elsewhere. ![]() The bed malfunctioned and both ends went up like a taco and she was the filling. ![]() ![]() |

... First item on the installation instructions, I've seen instructions where the first item sternly reads: "Complete ALL steps in this procedure." ... And then two monkeys rushed off for lunch at the stroke of noon with no hand-over to their sign-off monkey... There was some surprise as to why the newly installed system didn't get up to pressure and why there was some very expensive damage developing very quickly and getting ever more expensive by the second... Afterwards, there was a very time consuming clean up needed. There was the last instruction on the back of the last page instructing to close off the assembly purge/vent valve. All very unnecessarily silly. Hey ho! (All the more silly for that job being unsupervised, and non-checked. But then again, the job was so every-day mundane that noone believed such damage could be done by fitters...)
