Enjoying a beneficial symbiosis: Beaver dams in east Devon create area of wetland amid drought wrote: A network of dams built by beavers in Devon has helped to maintain an area of wetland despite a drought in the South West... A little less greed for exploiting the land can go a long way to help everyone, including the greedy landowners themselves... Enjoy! About the only positive news I've found in a while. Alex Jones ordered to pay upward of $965 million to families of Sandy Hook victims in defamation trial. |

Now I reckon that this is good news, in fact I'd say that it's great news. Queensland Land Court rules against Clive Palmer's Waratah Coal mine in landmark ruling. The Queensland Land Court has ruled human rights would be unjustifiably limited by a proposal to dig the state's largest coal mine in the Galilee Basin in Central Queensland. |

Sounds like a case of excessive celebrations with alcohol, then going for a 'swim' A man went missing from a Carnival cruise ship in the Gulf of Mexico. What happened next might well be a 'Thanksgiving miracle' ... a brother and sister set off for a place apropos of a holiday mood: They headed to an onboard bar. |

I reckon that these deserves a mention here (though some may not think that the 1st was a good idea). Record numbers of eastern quoll joeys born at Barrington Wildlife Sanctuary. Outback golden bandicoots 'rapidly' reproducing in western NSW, after formerly being locally extinct. |

Carnival cruise passenger who went overboard was 'dead set' on surviving Grimes said he treaded water for nearly 20 hours after falling overboard on Thanksgiving Eve -- battling jelly fish, rip currents and shark-infested waters before being airlifted by the U.S. Coast Guard on Nov. 24. shortly after 8 p.m., the U.S. Coast Guard told ABC News. |

California girl gets first-ever license to own a unicorn — if she can find one On Nov 30, Director Marcia Mayeda sent Madeline a response letter granting her the unique unicorn ownership permit, which came with some conditions — the unicorn must be provided ample exposure to sunlight, moonbeams and rainbows and have its horn polished at least once a month with a soft cloth. |

Now this I reckon is positive news. Renewable energy production hits new record in SA, as expert predicts more milestones to fall soon. South Australia has been effectively powered by green energy for a week, with one expert predicting it could extend to a month by early next year. |

What a beautiful project: How Watford got all its homeless people off the streets wrote: As charities warn of a rising number of rough sleepers in England, one town has come up with a scheme that it believes can give all of those sleeping on its streets a place to live... That a beautiful example of what can be done by dedicated people helping others. I don't care what anyone else thinks, but I reckon that this is positive news. Marrinawi Cove at Barangaroo opened to Sydney Harbour swimmers. I lived amongst a group of creeks that fed into Toongabbie Creek which fed into the Parramatta River which fed into Sydney Harbour and back then you would want to even touch the water with all the polluting industries that use to occupy the banks and shores. |
