(Not that this isn't circumvented through foundations, associations, or "NGOs"... but at least no direct donations). Are there any rules in the U.S. to investigate who invests in financing schemes like the ones Trump uses? For example: are there "investors" from Moscow? Or are there any committees in Congress that check and enforce rules on foreign influence? Or do intelligence services at least monitor finances of presidential candidates or e.g. MP candidates?
