>A pyramid-shaped object seen flying through the sky has been confirmed by the Pentagon as an unidentified aerial phenomena (UAP). I think this YouTube video ("Navy 'Pyramid UFO' Mick West Analysis - Bokeh Night Vision? Alternative View Point") is worth a look: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ub0R74XPzC4 |

The information from the U.S. military, called for in the Congressional enactment is quite specific. They seek Detailed analysis of unidentified aerial phenomena (UFOs) data by: geospacial inteligence, signal intelligence, human intelligence and any scientific measures made in connection with the phenomena. It doesn't sound as if 'weasel words' and 'speculation' will satisfy Congress. |

The critical word there is "Congress". Emphasis there is on 'critical'. All overshadowed by the critical description 'Politics'. Keep searchin'! Martin See new freedom: Mageia Linux Take a look for yourself: Linux Format The Future is what We all make IT (GPLv3) |

Though I haven't any knowledge of congressional demands--I can easily believe childish narratives coming from what was once an august body of thinkers --(Hah). So what are they demanding and what would be the PROOF that would satisfy them. I have watched the triangular videos--I doubt that that depicts an "Object"--it is most likely an electronic artifact or aerial reflection. So why not shoot it down ?? I forget what prompted this most recent expectation of revealing the "truth" about UFO's and Aliens. So what will they say and when will they put it forth? |

Quite apart from what one may think of the U.S. Congress, there is the fact that the military has a tradition of, and a commitment to, deferring to its authority. It seems likely that they will accede to Congress' requirement, and provide the information asked for, by or before the deadline, which arrives next month. I already indicated, in the general terms provided to the public, the sort and scope information the Congress is seeking. (Please see my last post, above.) In my opinion, the much-discussed video of a red triangular object is far from the best evidence that has already been released by the Pentagon. I would think it ill-advised to attempt to shoot down any unidentified flying object. If the object is some sort of optical illusion or sensor glitch, shooting at it merely wastes expensive ordnance, and produces potentially dangerous flak. There is also the risk of destroying a harmless aircraft, and any life that might be aboard it. If the UFO is the product of a technologically superior civilization, such a hostile move could be especially rash. It might even precipitate us into an conflict we couldn't hope to win. At the very least, it would very probably reveal the embarrassing inadequacy of our weapons, against such a vessel. |

Snowbo, Keep the faith! Are you aware of the US Navy encountering UFOs at sea off San Diego a few months ago? Many witnesses, video, and radar records from nearby ships! The gov't hasn't denied it, and really can't. Joe B. may make an announcement to the U.N. (Then again, he may not.) Also, the hunt for life, including intelligent life goes on. No doubt you have investigated the new generations of telescopes that are being planned and executed... some on Earth and some in space. Radio telescopes are a very valid way to search for indications of other civilizations in space. My opinion is that seti@home will be back in business at some point. Others feel the same. Prediction by Robert Heinlein around 1950, The Green Hills Of Earth: "The arching sky is calling all spacemen to their trade! All Hands! Stand By! Free Falling! And the lights below us fade! ... Far drive the thundering jets! Up leaps the race of Earthmen! Out, far, and onward yet!" I hope this helps! Best Regards, Richard |

Yesterday evening, the American news program '60 Minutes', which has been on the air for 53 years, and has received multiple Peabody and Emmy awards, devoted a substantial portion of its hour to the subject of 'UAP' (formerly known as UFOs). 60 Minutes took a very careful, sober approach to the issue. They spoke with highly trained military pilots who had seen the phenomenon themselves. They talked with highly placed former government officials, who had access to inside government information of the subject of Unidentified Aerial Phenomena. Despite a careful reticence to admit this, what seems clear enough now, is that intelligently controlled flying machines, which exceed Earthly technical capabilities by wide margins, are flying about in our air-space. The intelligence behind the objects does not appear to be hostile, but it does seem to be interested in our activities. It will be interesting to see what the Department of Defense and the Intelligence Services will report in the coming month to the United States Senate. Please find a link, below to a video of the presentation. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZBtMbBPzqHY |

Hi! Thanks everyone who posts here! Thanks to Michael W. who posted the 60 minutes story! :-) UFO reality no longer a question, it's a question of what they are: filmmaker https://www.foxnews.com/media/ufo-reality-no-longer-a-question-its-a-question-of-what-they-are-filmmaker Jeremy Corbell says Pentagon has been 'lying' to the American people |

He knew way before this. 'We don't know what they are and can't explain how they move': Obama confirms UFO sightings by military are real and says they 'must take them seriously' https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-9593415/Obama-confirms-existence-UFOs-unexplainable-flight-patterns-speed.html Barack Obama has confirmed footage of UFOs with extraordinary aeronautical capability superior to anything in the US military is real. 'We can't explain how they moved, their trajectory… they did not have an easily explainable pattern'. His comments come days after a US fighter pilot revealed airmen have seen unknown aircraft off Virginia coast every day for two years. Speaking on The Late Late Show, he says he was intensely curious to learn the US Government's UFO secrets when he came to office in 2008. 'I was like, 'All right, is there the lab somewhere where we're keeping the alien specimens and spaceships?'. The Department of Defense is due to release a report into unidentified aerial phenomena sightings by military personnel next month. |

My regional daily newspaper reprinted this Monday article, linked below, from the Washington Post. It makes it clear that the subject of UFOs has risen greatly in respectability over the last few years, and that the report to Congress, due within the next six weeks is required to give: " ' a detailed analysis of Unidentified Aerial Phenomena data and intelligence' gathered by the Office of Naval Intelligence, the Pentagon's UAP Task Force, and the FBI. Former director of national Intelligence, John Ratcliffe, hinted in a March interview, that the report would be big". One gets a sense of a real and profound change about to occur in the way officialdom communicates with the public about the UFO, or if you prefer, the UAP phenomenon, and what they know about it. To call their knowledge 'considerable' is probably a very large understatement. https://www.washingtonpost.com/nation/2021/05/17/ufo-sightings-navy-ryan-graves/ |

Did you all forget the report on "Project Bluebook" a long time ago. I suspect that this will be more polishing of turds from long ago. What a waste of hard-earned taxpayer money. |

Project Blue Book was not a legitimate scientific study of UFOs. It's methods were severely criticized by the one scientist, once associated with it. Blue Book was well know for making careless mistakes in assigning mundane explanations to UFO reports. Such as ascribing reports to the planet Venus or Jupiter at times when these planets were not even visible, or explaining an object moving at hundreds of miles per hour as a wind-blown balloon, even though there were no such winds at the time and place it was reported. Even with such lax standards, Project Blue Book was finally unable to explain over 700 of the reports it received. Most of these reports met Blue Book's own standards for being adequately documented and legitimately sourced, so that an explanation should have been possible, if these really were ordinary objects or known phenomena. |

I saw an interesting video yesterday, wherein the author speculated that UFOs are higher dimensional objects that penetrate our space as three dimensional objects. Rather like a 3D object penetrating Edwin Abbott's famous 'Flatland' thought experiment, and appearing in it as a two dimensional object. In this way they could appear to pop into existence in our space, then out again, and mysteriously reappear elsewhere. I try to maintain an open mind to such detailed ideas about UFOs. I've speculated that UFOs, as a travel technology, might get about in what we think of as 'normal space' by making shortcuts through the sort of 'bulk space' specified in M-Theory (String Theory). These are all merely speculations, of course, submitted for whatever than may be worth. |

So what do you think is the "answer". I detect a bit of "Ancient Astronaut" in you post. |

There are those in power (and elsewhere), who already know the answer to all this. However, the truth will not be released until humanity as a whole has evolved beyond their belief in a God, or a supreme being. The world's religions have been challenged a number of times, when the ideas that grew up around their basic faith were no longer in accord with the facts. This list includes: An Earth-centered universe. vs. a Sun-centered solar system; a six thousand year-old world vs. one billions of years old; All life created as it now exists vs. Biological evolution; A world-wide Flood vs. modern geology disproving this. The world has not collapsed into chaos when these contradictions were resolved in the favor of science. Religions, and religious persons have adapted themselves to reality. If some sect wishes to believe that we are the only intelligent life in the universe, finding that this isn't the case could be difficult for them, of course. Past experience, though, seems to indicate that they will learn how to cope with it, and tolerate ideas different from their own. From my point of view, one of the most valuable things we could gain from learning of other intelligent life in the universe, which is apparently superior in its technology, if not also in other ways, is humility. We will then know ourselves to be a voice in a cosmic chorus, not a 'star' performing a solo. |

The putative forthcoming UFO report nor those who "know" the answer do not and will not relate to another intelligence. I am surely not saying that we are the only ones in the cosmos--but any "others" are not here now nor will they ever be. It would be enough to just have absolute proof that they exist--doubt that we will ever have it--fun to look of course but UFO's are not the answer nor the proof. Go sit out on your front porch at sunrise with a cup of coffee. listen to the serenade of the birds and drink in the greenery and flowers--think to yourself how many things must be just so for all this to exist-Now ask yourself will we ever find a place in the vastness of space that would allow another such paradise to form and evolve. |
