Btw. He mentioned Sweden as a scary example at the Tulsa rally. What? How many in Oklahoma even know what Sweden is.
Ask how many who were speaking on the dais know what Sweden is?

There really should be a law against spewing such harmful silliness...
All only in the USA?

In the USA there is a law permitting such harmful silliness.

Who is Steve Schmidt?
He is a lifelong Republican. He ran John McCain's 2008 campaign for president. He worked for Lamar Alexander's 2000 presidential campaign. He worked on Capitol Hill for Republicans. He served as the communications director of the House GOP's campaign arm. He helped shepherd Arnold Schwarzenegger, a Republican, to the California governorship.
Steve Schmidt wrote:
"Donald Trump has been the worst president this country has ever had. And I don't say that hyperbolically. He is. But he is a consequential president. And he has brought this country in three short years to a place of weakness that is simply unimaginable if you were pondering where we are today from the day where Barack Obama left office. And there were a lot of us on that day who were deeply skeptical and very worried about what a Trump presidency would be. But this is a moment of unparalleled national humiliation, of weakness.
"When you listen to the President, these are the musings of an imbecile. An idiot. And I don't use those words to name call. I use them because they are the precise words of the English language to describe his behavior. His comportment. His actions. We've never seen a level of incompetence, a level of ineptitude so staggering on a daily basis by anybody in the history of the country whose ever been charged with substantial responsibilities.
"It's just astonishing that this man is president of the United States. The man, the con man, from New York City. Many bankruptcies, failed businesses, a reality show, that branded him as something that he never was. A successful businessman. Well, he's the President of the United States now, and the man who said he would make the country great again. And he's brought death, suffering, and economic collapse on truly an epic scale. And let's be clear. This isn't happening in every country around the world. This place. Our place. Our home. Our country. The United States. We are the epicenter. We are the place where you're the most likely to die from this disease. We're the ones with the most shattered economy. And we are because of the fool that sits in the Oval Office behind the Resolute Desk."

<ed>King Donald's lasting legacy, Republican fratricide.

Actually Trump knows very well what Sweden is. He has even written a book called "The Art of the Deal" and how proud his grandfather coming from Karlstad and being a Värmlänning :) But of course the rest of of the dais goes "What?"
Whatever. Trump's "the world leader" knowledge of foreign countries is about the same level as a fresh minor at some high school.
He was asking advisers lately at the WH "Is Finland part of Russia?" and "Does the UK have nukes?" How many more countries like that have to endure his world view?

I'm not so sure that this book will fly off the shelves.

Sarah Sanders lied again and again for Trump. Now she’s got her teeth into John Bolton.

Maybe those far right nutters that feed on B.S. will buy a few (if they can afford it). ;-)

But apparently they sucked it, according to you know who.

Trump tries to recast Tulsa rally no-shows.

But what does 1 expect from an idiot that ignores the science?

Fauci warns of disturbing trend as Trump ignores viral surge.

Well it looks like that he's going to take the country down with him.

Ouch!

That baldly says it as it is.

Can even the expensively Marketed Trumped-up campaign and religion wobble back up from that?...

Are there any positive options possible before yet more damage is done to the USA?

... Twitter users, including Mr Trump's supporters, will be unable to retweet the offending tweet due to the measure.

Alleluia!

Here's hoping that Facebook and the other social media forums act likewise against such Presidential abuse and incitement for violence!

At least some organizations have (at least a Marketing) conscience:

I ain't kidding
Well, one has to feel sorrow for the average American.
If he gets another 4 years in November, just watch that sorrow turn to pity.

Thanks for that. Scary stuff!

And that leads to some surreal reporting:

... But that is a much different message than White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany sent just a day before.

"No, he has not," Ms McEnany said ...

Mr Trump was "joking" and criticising the media for not reporting that the United States leads the world in testing, she added. (That is a false statement, however.)

But Mr Trump told supporters Saturday night in Oklahoma that he had given such an order...

So which of the multiple falsehoods is being reported as false?!!

Untangle this reporting?...

Top US health official Fauci warns of 'disturbing' new US surge
wrote:
... Cases are climbing rapidly across a number of US states.

The four top experts also testified they were never told by President Donald Trump to "slow down" testing.

Their comments come after Mr Trump told a weekend rally in Oklahoma that he had asked his team to do less testing to help keep official case counts down...

... But Mr Trump told a campaign event in Phoenix, Arizona, later in the day that the coronavirus "plague" was "going away".

The president once again referred to the virus as the "kung flu", which the White House denies is a racist term...

Really! Deny the Trumped denials? Deny the Trump blame game and racism there?...

Trump really does seem to be desperately wallowing in an very unwholesome 'different' reality...

Ah, but you don't understand. Republicans never speak ill of their own. It just isn't done. No matter how bad.

Well it looks like if v2.0 can't win he'll try taking down as many as he can with him. :-(

Trump's post-Covid bubble is popping.

More than 37,000 new cases of Covid-19 were reported on Thursday, according to Johns Hopkins University data. The numbers superseded the previous darkest day of the pandemic, on April 24. The new data suggests that the sacrifices made by tens of millions of Americans who stayed at home, that cost many of them their jobs, might have been in vain. It also suggest that the aggressive state re-openings championed by Trump, who wants a quick economic reboot to boost his reelection hopes, exacerbated a situation that now seems close to tipping out of control across a swathe of southern states.
A total of 30 states are now reporting a rise in new daily cases of the novel coronavirus while others keep setting new records in each 24-hour period. And while the President lives in a bubble of his own obsessive political feuds and the embrace of conservative media that rarely dwells on the virus, the reality of a pandemic that may still be in its early changes is beginning to squeeze in on his world.
Will he ever wake up from his delusional self centered dream?

Facebook finally gives into pressure.

Facebook to label all rule-breaking posts – even Trump's.

Earlier in the day, shares of Facebook and Twitter dropped sharply after the giant company behind brands such as Ben & Jerry's ice cream and Dove soap said it will halt US advertising on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram through at least the end of the year.
That European consumer-product maker, Unilever, said it took the move to protest the amount of hate speech online.
Unilever said the polarised atmosphere in the United States ahead of November's presidential election placed responsibility on brands to act.
Shares of both Facebook and Twitter fell roughly seven percent following Unilever's announcement.
The company, which is based in the Netherlands and Britain, joins a raft of other advertisers pulling back from online platforms.
Facebook in particular has been the target of an escalating movement to withhold advertising dollars to pressure it to do more to prevent racist and violent content from being shared on its platform.
"We have decided that starting now through at least the end of the year, we will not run brand advertising in social media newsfeed platforms Facebook, Instagram and Twitter in the US," Unilever said.
"Continuing to advertise on these platforms at this time would not add value to people and society."
It's just a shame that it took financial pressure from advertisers to it.

This isn't going to make v2.0 any happier either.

Trump wrongly diverted billions to build wall: Appeals court.

A federal appeals court on Friday ruled against the administration of United States President Donald Trump in its transfer of $2.5bn from military construction projects to build sections of the US border wall with Mexico, ruling it illegally sidestepped Congress, which gets to decide how to use the funds.

The 9th US Circuit Court of Appeals agreed with a coalition of border states and environmental groups that contended the money transfer was unlawful and that building the wall would pose environmental threats.

It seems to me that, and especially in the US, that the $ is always the deciding factor.

Now if only they could make all firearms owners take out insurance to cover the cost of two or more lives. $ 9.4 million

This won't go down well with little Donny.

Trump campaign postpones Pence's campaign events in Florida and Arizona.

With that coming out an hour after this.

Panicking Trump tries to change the subject.

He's now acting just like v1.0 did just before the end.
