There has been no news of it coming back in the near future, so it it is probably safe to say that the project in its previous form has expired.
That is not to say that there won't be a Mark 2 (or if one counts the "Classic" project Mark 3) version of SETI@Home.

Agreed!!! I just came back after a few years, finding it's gone...

Sucks no one wants to take it over... :-[

I really miss Seti@home and hope at sometime in the future we can crunch again, I have no idea what project to run that interested me like Seti@home, is there anything close to it?
