What will cause a battery to drain while running SETI? I have one laptop that will slowly drain the battery down to 23% and stay there. When I stop running SETI it will charge back up.
Are there any settings in SETI that will make it use less power?
I do have the display set to turn off after a few minutes, but that does not help.

Does the battery run down while the AC adaptor is plugged in?
If so, it indicates that the output of the adaptor is very low- it's basically good enough to run the laptop, or charge the battery, but not both.

hi, several laptops are sales with différents AC adaptators, somes in 65W , other with 90W even with the same models , the powerfull ones are able to maintaint battery and supply laptop at the same time ..

you have to check which model you have and then check if you could buy another one more powerful ^^
