This sounds like an uncomfortably close call:

Russia says plane 'almost hit' by anti-aircraft fire in Syria
wrote:
... According to a statement quoted by Russian media, the plane was about to land in Damascus when Syrian anti-aircraft fire responded to an alleged Israeli attack early on Thursday. The Airbus 320 then diverted to the Russian airbase of Hmeimim in north-western Syria...

... a flight belonging to Syria's Cham Wings travelling from the Iraqi city of Najaf appeared to change its course from Damascus to Hmeimim in the early hours of Thursday morning...

Meanwhile, what has happened to any further news on PS752?...

Nothing more then that Iran has halted the cooperation with Ukraine after audio leak...
https://www.aerotime.aero/clement.charpentreau/24512-flight-752-iran-halts-cooperation-with-ukraine-after-audio-leak
Iran halted its cooperation with Ukraine after the leak of conversation recording between an air traffic controller of Tehran airport and an Iranian pilot. The pilot was witnessing the missile launch that downed the Ukrainian flight PS752 and killed 176 people on January 8, 2020.
Volodymyr Zelensky, President of Ukraine, said that the record proved that for the three days it took for the Iranian government to admit the aircraft was brought down by their military, the Iranian authorities were perfectly aware of the exact unfolding of the events.
The Ukrainian media TSN that shared the recording said it received it from intelligence sources. Following the broadcast of the conversation in the Ukrainian media, the head of the Iranian investigation team Hassan Rezaeifar acknowledged its authenticity.
However, Iranian authorities criticized their Ukrainian counterparts for sharing the information with the public. “This action by the Ukrainians makes us not want to give them any more evidence,” said Rezaeifar, quoted by the news agency Mehr. The Iranian authorities also denied Zelensky’s claim, saying that the recording of the conversation was made available to them only recently.

Here's a small snippet of further news for Flight PS752:

Iran sends black box of Ukrainian plane to France
wrote:
Iran has sent the black box ... to France...

... Iran's deputy foreign minister said the black boxes were taken to Paris on Friday and would be read on Monday.

Iran initially denied responsibility for the incident, which came amid heightened tensions with the US. But the country admitted fault days later, after Western intelligence officials said evidence pointed to Iranian involvement. Tehran said the Ukraine International Airlines flight had been mistaken for a cruise missile...

... The recordings will now be analysed by French experts. Canada, which lost 55 citizens in the crash, and Ukraine have said they will send their own experts to take part in the investigation.

What does Iran say happened?

Iran has conducted its own investigation into the crash, with a report released last week ... blaming "human error" and poor military communication for the downing of the plane. However, Ukraine's Foreign Minister said it was "too early" for such statements and said any conclusions should wait for the international investigation.

Last month, Iranian authorities said six people had been arrested [scapegoated] over the incident...

And that news appears on a Sunday afternoon to be buried by the Monday morning news...?

Fly safe!

Stay safe!!

Or... From those later videos and the assumed flight track:

Were one or both of the pilots still alive and flying the stricken plane back to the airport until 30 seconds later they were then totally destroyed by the second missile?

That only matters the the macabre.

That will be very much of interest to the crash investigators and the insurance/legal people...

Indeed, the pilots were alive and flying the stricken aircraft back to the airport until the second missile hit:

Iran plane crash: Cockpit exchange recorded after missile hit Ukraine jet
wrote:
... It was "25 seconds later that the second missile hit the plane", he said, adding: "They were piloting the plane until the last moment."

He said information recorded by the plane's black boxes - which hold key data and communications from the cockpit - indicated that the aircraft had been "in a normal flight corridor" before the first missile exploded, sending shrapnel into the aircraft...

What next from Iran?...

Sadly:

Canadian report slams 'reckless' Iran for downing of flight PS752
wrote:
A Canadian government report on the downing of a Ukrainian jet has found no evidence it was "premeditated", but said Iran was "fully responsible".

Ukraine International Airlines flight PS752 was hit by two missiles after taking off from Tehran on 8 January 2020. All 176 people on board died...

Canada said on Thursday that the blame lay with Iran's "civilian and military authorities".

While acknowledging that an air defence unit operator "likely acted on his own in making the decision to launch the missiles", an eight-month forensic investigation concluded that it would not have happened if not for the "incompetence, recklessness, and wanton disregard for human life" of Iranian officials.

Mr Garneau said that a missile operator made "a series of extremely flawed decisions that could have and should have been avoided". He added that Iranian military command and control have been too slow both in addressing the failures and taking measures to prevent future tragedy...

... "Iran's official account of events is disingenuous, misleading and superficial, and intentionally ignores key factors". "Senior regime officials made the decisions that led to this tragedy, and the world must not allow them to hide with impunity behind a handful of low-ranking scapegoats,"...

Nothing improved since?

Will anything come of this latest push?

Flight PS752: Calls on Iran to settle dispute over downing of Ukraine jet
wrote:
A group of four countries led by Canada has requested that Iran submit to arbitration to settle a dispute over its shooting down of a Ukrainian jet.

Ukraine International Airlines flight PS752 was hit by two missiles after taking off from Tehran on 8 January 2020. All 176 people on board died.

Three days later, Iran admitted mistakenly shooting down the plane.

The group, made up of Canada, Sweden, Ukraine and the UK, said it was taking "concrete action" against Iran.

The four nations have been seeking reparations on behalf of the families of the victims...

At least it's something, but it could've been better.

Iran court sentences those responsible for downing of Ukraine International Airlines flight PS752 to prison.

An Iranian court has sentenced an air defence commander allegedly responsible for the deadly downing of a passenger plane, a state news agency reported.

Iran's paramilitary Revolutionary Guard mistakenly shot down the Ukraine International Airlines flight in January 2020, amid tensions between Iran and the United States.

The missile strike killed all 176 people on board and came as Tehran and Washington teetered on the brink of war.

The commander who officials ordered the strike was sentenced to 13 years in prison, according to the Associated Press.

Iranian news agency Mizan said the commander did not follow protocols in the moments leading up to the shooting down of the plane. The commander was ordered to pay fines to families of victims, the report added.

Reuters news agency reports that the main defendant was sentenced to 10 years.

Mizan also reported the court sentenced two personnel allegedly involved in running the surface-to-air missile system Tor M-1 to one year in prison each.

After a lengthy series of hearings, the court sentenced at least seven other personnel and air defence officers to up to three years in prison.......
