Hello all! Hope everyone is having a great start to the New Year! I know nothing about linux, however mid 2019 Steve and a few others helped me to get a cheap build running with the special linux app. Computer has been running great, and I have an extra gpu I was going to install into the machine so I can crunch with two instead of just one. Do I need to do anything so the special app recognizes and uses the 2nd gpu that I have installed? Do I just install it, and everything should work fine? Or do I need to use some commands so linux knows theres two? I know nothing about linux, so any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks :D |

if the second GPU is the same as your primary GPU, then you really don't need to do anything. but if it's a different model, you will need to add a cc_config.xml with the flags to <use_all_gpus> <cc_config> <options> <use_all_gpus>1</use_all_gpus> </options> </cc_config> Seti@Home classic workunits: 29,492 CPU time: 134,419 hours |

thanks!! I will try that shortly, moving the computer, seemed like the best time to add the 2nd gpu, its not the same...hopefully the cc_config route will work fine :) |
