If someone can show me it is really simple to switch to/from stock, I would be willing to try on my slowest box at least to be running something.
I posted summary notes on how to revert to stock at message 2024110

Thanks, Richard. Having followed that procedure to get to stock, would you give me the steps to follow to get back to my special sauce version? I'm not an expert with the ins and outs of these programs.

Thanks!

If you want your old thread deleted then just hit the little red-x down by the reply button, leave the moderators a message and one of them will act on it.

This "Panic Mode" thread, really should be in red flashing text on the Number Crunching part of the forum (if the board software allows for such a thing)
Too many people post new threads about their issues, before reading the "Panic Mode" thread, or bother to look around if the issue is already known.

The name of the thread should probably be changed. “Panic Mode On” is like a cryptic inside joke and on the surface without context no one knows what that means.

Just leave the name as just Server Issues Thread or something that’s a lot more intuitive and straightforward.

When all this is over, just

  • Finish and report all stock work
  • delete your new (stock) setiathome.berkeley.edu data folder
  • restore your archive (or copy) of the previous version
  • restart BOINC

That should do it, but obviously I haven't tested it yet.

Okay, I just started stock and got tasks immediately for my GPUs on my T3500 Ubuntu box. They are running cuda60. Will that change to SoG(?) later?
