How to get more than 3 gpus running on an Asrock X470 Taichi (AM4 socket) motherboard?

It has a 4th short slot I can fit a riser card into but I can't get it to recognize more than 3 cards. I hadn't thought of those ideas. I apparently had Bios 1.05, upgraded it to 2.0 including the recommended "all in one" driver install. And broke something in Seti. Now I am getting "postponed" applications on all gpus. I am up to 4 will try 5 next :) --Edit-- 5 is recognized but Seti is still broke.
