The never ending story...
UK Prime Minister Theresa May is now requesting suspension of EU withdrawal until June 30.
At the same time, the President of the European Council, Donald Tusk, wants to offer the British a flexible brexit. They will have twelve months to leave the EU, but can be expected to leave earlier if Parliament approves an agreement.
However, the plan must be approved by EU leaders at the summit next week.
The proposal may be presented for May next week in Brussels. If she approves the plan, Britain must arrange elections to the European Parliament in May.

So most likely we will not see the End of May before the End of April:)

Presumably the UK government will have to plan for the EU elections on the 23rd May, with all that entails, booking polling stations, selecting candidates, notifying the public, which is done by postcard, etc.

That's going to be a lot of fun, we are already going to the local government elections on the 2nd May, the postcard has already been received.

But French President Emmanuel Macron's office said on Friday that it was "premature" to consider another delay while French diplomatic sources described Mr Tusk's suggestion as a "clumsy test balloon".

Yes. And the EU has 26 more member states to consider. I wonder if the EU parliament will go through a voting session to accept Tusk's proposal...
Sigh...

If it was an ordinary "sheeple", they would be charged with obstruction or possibly incitement to riot.

Too many "toffs" think they're above the law

Seems like Mr Rees-Mogg realise that the UK has quite a lot of power being a member of the EU...
https://twitter.com/Jacob_Rees_Mogg/status/1114086264024727554
If a long extension leaves us stuck in the EU we should be as difficult as possible. We could veto any increase in the budget, obstruct the putative EU army and block Mr Macron’s integrationist schemes.

On the other hand told from an other source.
Mogg 2016:
UK has no power within EU.
We have to do as they say.

Mogg 2019:
Admits UK has huge power.
We have power of Veto on EU.

Brexit: UK passports issued without 'European Union' label
Left hand, right hand.
The United Kingdom?
Well, In both Scotland and Northern Ireland the majority want to remain in the EU.
Wales and England want to exit.

I liked mine when it was Emerald Green with a large gold harp on the front unlike the current dross.

Oh.
There is an EU instruction that the color should be burgundy red, the actual hue is carefully specified. The size has also been decided by the EU...

I remember when British passports were black.

If after BREXIT they become blue I think that might be because that is the colour of the Conservative party who have the power to thrust upon us their ideological machinations.

Personally black is OK or a nice green would be great like Eire or florescent pink \ orange to signal danger - Brits Abroad.. :)

IMHO, this has to be the best comment I've seen during the 58 months of this EU crap...
"It's also possible to be proud to be English, British and European, and still not want to be in the EU.

The EU is a political project not an identity. "

...it is comment no 2744 in the linked report.

May dragging her heels in

It does move, just not in May's chosen direction.

What a farce

It seems all the ghosts, goblins & zombies reside in Westminster...

Halloween

...brain dead the lot of them.
Commons Leader Andrea Leadsom has played down concerns that the extension could mean Brexit does not happen at all.

Speaking outside her flat in Westminster, she says: "We have to use this time to make sure that we deliver the Brexit we are all looking for, that we work closely with the EU and that they are genuinely helping to make sure we do deliver on the referendum - there won't be any changing our minds about that.

"We are absolutely determined to deliver on that referendum."

3 years was more than long enough to set up departments to prepare for arranging the way forward from 23:00 29/3/19.
Leadsom's comment just show the sheer bullshyte being discussed.
