Just For Fun: Cooking A Turkey On Your Car Manifold If you have a drive that's longer than 220 miles, you can actually do this, according to the authors of the book Manifold Destiny: The One! The Only! Guide To Cooking On Your Car Engine. You can't do a whole turkey -- you'll have to settle for the breast, about five pounds of it, cut into slices and wrapped in foil. |

Mythbusters have done a test of cooking a turkey dinner while driving a older Cadillac. Pick your cooking hotspots carefully. https://youtu.be/tqABijWMlxA |

Since I didn't want to start a new thread I decided to put this here. People have asked me whether when I dream, I am still walking or in my chair. Most of the time I don't remember that much detail about my dreams. But last night I was dreaming about being in an office building and at the point of my exit from the building an alarm sounded and even though I had started down the steps a security guard approached me and told me I couldn't leave due to the discovery of a person with CV19 in the building. Probably not a real world scenario, but I do remember I was walking. So at least in this case I do dream I still walk. Bob DeWoody My motto: Never do today what you can put off until tomorrow as it may not be required. This no longer applies in light of current events. |

Not surprising. Double talk by a manufacturer trying to get out of a warranty claim. Apple Fined $12M Over Water Resistance Claim The first issue was with the way Apple marketed eight iPhone models as being water resistant up to a certain depth (between one and four meters depending on the model) for up to 30 minutes. |

After bogus $2,000 tip to Texas waitress, restaurant owner steps up amid unfair backlash Turns out the credit card transaction was reported as "invalid / fraudulent". The owner of the restaurant stepped up, however, and in the spirit of Christmas, gave Bauer (waitress) $2,000, plus the $69 bill the man failed to cover “for everything I had to go through,” Bauer said on Instagram. |

I saw that happen many years ago - we were in the process of clearing out a load of old stuff and had a series of skips, most were filled with either decaying empty cardboard boxes or sacks of very hard & dense cement. One was only half full of the latter, topped off with a pile of boxes, we warned the drive, but he ignored us - and as they say "The rest is history".... Hate to say I’ve been there. Sitting on a wood pallet up in the air as high as the forklift would go with absolutely zero safety protection gear on. |
