I would never run a Ryzen of any kind on a 4 +1 VRM motherboard. Just not enough power and not high enough quality. I don't cheap out on parts and they don't fail on me. You get what you pay for always applies. I bought the 2400G with MB because it was being offered as a combo. And the vendor installed everything. Sigh. I think I will go see what Bill's MB was. And maybe resurrect the project with that MB and a 2400G cpu. It died after slightly more than a month so I don't think an RMA is going to be possible. Got to looking at Bill's MB and realized it was an ATX. The case I was using was a Micro-ATX. I already have 2 other ATX AM4 MB's so I have tried to cancel the "Bill's MB". I have another ATX case laying around here someplace. :) Tom A proud member of the OFA (Old Farts Association). |

Here is my latest command line for Windows and the Ryzen 5 2400G iGPU. -sbs 192 -spike_fft_thresh 2048 -tune 1 2 1 16 -tt 1500 -period_iterations_num 1 There are 3 versions of the iGPU task for ATI gpus so you need a copy of this in all three command lines. I was previously running it with a -period_interations_num 5 and the iGPU speed/frequency at 1500 instead of auto (in the Bios). The screen response may now be a little laggy. I am driving the screen through the iGPU. And have an "average" of 49 minutes. Previously the average had been as high as 1.5+ hours. A proud member of the OFA (Old Farts Association). |

Curious(er). Someone just announced a "new" motherboard for an older A-8 product. (A8-7680 to be exact). https://www.tomshardware.com/news/biostar-a68mhe-motherboard-amd-fm2-socket,38936.html A proud member of the OFA (Old Farts Association). |
