I never even install "geforce experience" To get round this you will need to download the driver straight form Nvidia http://www.nvidia.co.uk/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-uk Once downloaded double click the file and follow the prompts. Go figure the confusion this will cause :-( Did you do a "clean" install (hidden under "advanced" options in the installer)? Make sure you select "CUDA" and "OpenCL" - neither of which are used by many games but are essential for computing. If so you then need to install manually, do not use "geforce". At the end of the install you will be presented with a screen that will tell you what was installed. Does that happen? If not you may well be running the Windows drivers, they will have the same number as the Nvidia ones and will allow you to play games etc, but they will not work for SETI@Home I am just trying to get a picture of why a computer that has had a manual driver install still does not show a GPU in SETI ID: 1948185 ·

However during the problem about 50 gpu work units were tagged : GPU missing, ready to start. The stalled tasks were running under the SOG app from lunatics, which requires Open CL, this is not included with drivers from Microsoft, you must download drivers from the Nividia website and nowhere else. What seems to have happened is you have reverted to the stock application which uses the CUDA drivers which are included with Microsoft drivers. So the answer is to download and install drivers from the Nvidia website, then re-install the lunatics app. This should then allow the "GPU missing" tasks to start and also the new task you have will then be processed by the lunatics app which is faster . Your other machine with the 1050 2 gb is running the SOG app and completing tasks in around 15 minutes whereas this machine running the stock CUDA app takes 30 minutes Post here if you have any more questions ID: 1952153 ·
