Do you like propaganda songs? The propaganda stuff, no. But some songs are really catching and deceiving. And that's why we hear so many of them. So. 'Let's be careful out there'. Explanation here accompanied with a Texas Boogie for some odd reason. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KUMZszsCQCQ |

To Trump the rights of Intellectual Property (IP) do not exist:( I think it's called theft. However Trump would probably say "Sue me" and smiling... But as the Rolling Stones song goes. "You can't always get want you want". The very song Trump stole and played when he won the election! |

I don't think this was propaganda, but more wishful thinking in some quarters https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NjMNms4rjcE |

Hehe:) Another Tangerine song. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CAlvBMwN_7U That's actually more like a protest song. But what is the difference between a protest song and a propaganda song? Both songs has the same aim to engage people in politics. For good and worse. |

;) But what is the difference between a protest song and a propaganda song? The perspective it's viewed from mostly, I think :) This wasn't viewed favourably at all by some people ... definite propaganda they said. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UJujyzA2Q1E Johnny Clegg used his privilege as a white man favored by the system to help dismantle it. He was one of the regime's most popular opponents. "Asim'bonanga," which is sung in IsiZulu like most of his songs, was about the shady ways of the oppressive regime and how Mandela was hidden away from the people. The song also makes reference of fallen struggle heroes Steve Biko, Victoria Mxenge and Neil Aggett Yet on campus ...? :) and on Radio 702...? :) Channel 702 was started in 1980 by entrepreneurs Natie and Issie Kirsh in the country's homeland of Bophuthatswana, which like the Transkei was at the time independent of South African rules and regulations. The station's signature line was "In touch, in tune and independent." It was just one of many so-called "propaganda" songs to finally reach the ears of those who had had none before. |
