Today is another beer bottling day in my brewroom and there couldn't be a better day to do on as it's a cool wet 1 here with only 19C being expected (currently it's 15C feels like 13C) so my gas ring burner won't cook the sweat out of me, I may even be able to stop my 20,500L concrete rainwater tank from overflowing for a bit.

Cheers.

Well I couldn't stop my water tank from overflowing, but there were another 6 dozen 750ml longnecks added to my beer stocks. :-)

Cheers.

Even though we're enjoying our 1st sunny morning here this year it's still rather cool with a cold easterly gale blowing across the mountain top so instead of just putting away my beer kit I just sterilised it again and went across the road for 2 more cans of lager wort along with another 2kg of dextrose so I can warm the place up a bit.

Monday is also expected to still be cool which is good as my latest spirit wash will be ready for processing then.

But at least today I should get up to the pub for a few beers and to socialise after being stuck inside for a while staying dry and warm.

Cheers.

The stainless steel god has been turned on and production of holy water will soon commence once the temp is right. ;-)

The heat is on again in my brewroom as more empty beer bottles still need to be refilled and it's another cool summer's day here in the highlands down under.

Cheers.

Well after a day's delay the heat is back on again in my brewroom as I prepare to put down another 58L lager brew.

Cheers.

I was going to bottle that brew this morning, but due to the cool weather that we've been having the yeast may have gone sleepy on me so I turned on the heating pad to get the brew up to turn up the temp of the brew to get it back into the yeast's happy zone.

I'll check it again in the morning just to be sure that's it's safe to bottle (I certainly don't want to deal with exploding bottles). ;-)

Cheers.

Well I have enough empty bottles (72 x 750ml) to put another lager brew down tomorrow morning and the 5000 imperial gallon (20,730 litres or 6000 US short gallons) water tank is still overflowing so I need to make a bit of space in it so that it can catch more (it's been overflowing for days now).

Cheers.

I've just started to put another beer brew down so things will get quite warm here soon.

Well that's another brew ready to bubble away with yeast farts so it should smell good in here tomorrow morning.

Now that I have my beer stock built back up (there's only 2 beer bottles left that are not filled ATM) I grabbed the ingredients needed to do the same with my ginger beer stock as well as doing another spirit wash this morning and if the frosts return tomorrow (we had a very warm 9C start here today) I'll get both of those brews started then (or the morning after if tomorrow). ;-)

Cheers.

I'm just getting ready to do a couple of Heathen Day brews here this morning and I'm just waiting for the steriliser to do its job on both kits before turning the heat on to dissolve 2kg of raw sugar for a ginger beer brew and 16kg of white sugar for a spirit wash.

Those 2 should refill the rest of the empty "other" bottles that are left in the brewroom.

Cheers.

My ginger beer stock is now full again and on Wednesday (my time) I'll process that that spirit wash.

Anyhow after all that I'm going to have a "Dark'n'Stormy" or 2 now. ;-)

Cheers.

That's far too early for me. :-O

A change on the expected rain's arrival has forced a change in my plans so tomorrow I'll get a few things around the village done while the weather holds and then I'll produce Holy Water during a wet Thorsday. ;-)

Cheers.
