I just finished my home-cooked dinner and had some really good coffee ice cream from Trader Joe's(a small specialty grocer) for dessert. I've never been a regular coffee drinker. I do like the taste, but I just never have gotten hooked on the caffeine. Do you like to brew it at home on a regular basis, or do you go out, and what do you get? ~Just straight black coffee, or something exotic? This is where I occasionally go for a cup, and I really only go for the social aspect, and I think the mural on the building is cool: The mind is a weird and mysterious place |

Gordon -- I drink a cup or two, every day, at a local coffee shop. FYI, coffee ice cream is the favorite flavor, in Rhode Island, where I'm from (many years, ago), and not vanilla. |

That sounds good, Jim. I was in New England as a kid on vacation. My main taste memory from that trip was frozen yogurt on Cape Cod, in Provincetown. The funny thing for me is how coffee has become so commercialized and how much money people spend on it at a coffee shop, daily. I definitely get the social aspect, but the drive-thru coffee is a crazy thing to me. They have car lines around the building, and I'm thinking you could make it to-go at home for the time you're spending waiting. The mind is a weird and mysterious place |

I used to drink 4 or 5 cups of strong coffee a day for over 40 years but I developed a sensitivity to caffeine, I thought I was getting Parkinson's. Sadly now it's just a coupe of mugs of the best decaf I can find. I love the taste of coffee but I do miss the buzz from the caffeine. |

Tea for me, please. I never learned to enjoy coffee. That mural needs a raccoon. |

That mural needs a raccoon. There might be a raccoon around the corner side. I'll have to take another picture. I go by that place everytime I'm out. It's close to my house. The mind is a weird and mysterious place |

Caffeine is in my sugary fizzy drinks. Never had coffee around the house growing up as a kid. So coffee is a rare occasional drink. |

Going to the car dealer to get an oil change and maintenance in a few minutes. They serve free coffee and doughnuts, so I'll take advantage of that. :~) The mind is a weird and mysterious place |

The wife and I have two cappuccini each morning. The coffee machine in the Daddio comic has now been replaced with a Breville unit that does very well even though it has only a single boiler. We like the darker French roasts and buy Starbucks coffee beens on sale at COSTCO for less than $6.00 per pound. We have a Kitchen-Aid Pro series grinder and always grind fine and fresh each morning. |

Well, I fumbled around with one of those single cup coffee makers at the car dealer this morning, and once I figured out how to operate it, it wasn't a bad brew, but I felt like Mork from Ork trying to use it. The mind is a weird and mysterious place |

Most like it hot. Many like adding milk. Some even like adding sugar. Some even like to add salt! https://translate.google.se/translate?sl=sv&tl=en&js=y&prev=_t&hl=sv&ie=UTF-8&u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.faktoider.nu%2Fkaffesalt.html&edit-text= |

My grandfather drank salted coffee together with the locals when he was a surveyor in the very north of Sweden near Finland in the 1920's. They don't do that anymore as far as I know. But maybe I will try that sometime:) Oh. The coarse coffee beans are boiled in water. Not like when we pour hot water on finely grinded beans through a filter. |

People seem surprised when I tell them I spent 22 years in the Army but didn't drink coffee. I drink it now. I don't recall why I started. Probably was during the winter when I wanted something warm. I drink Folgers Black Silk. I add flavored creamer (HEB brand Irish Crème - their spelling, not mine) - a LOT of it. Two of these in a 16-ounce mug every day (almost). Black Silk is very strong/dark. I think I drink that because of all the time I spent in Germany. Europeans can brew some damned strong coffee. I said I didn't drink it while I was in the Army. I meant I didn't drink it daily. I LOVE coffee ice cream. Oh, and I have chronic fatigue, so the caffeine really doesn't do anything for me. ~Sue~ |
