Not all doom & gloom
Rescuing an injured officer after a car crash is great. But it's a shame that it takes a positive action like that to bring the rest of the story into the public eye.

Mr McLee ... spent a year in jail related to a March 2016 fight outside an American Legion bar.

He had rushed to the bar in Dunbar, Pennsylvania, after his sister called saying she needed a ride home because a fight had broken out. When Mr McLee arrived, he disarmed a man who was standing in the car park with a gun, before throwing the weapon aside.

At least one trooper fired shots at Mr McLee as he fled. The trooper said Mr McLee pointed a weapon at him twice, but security footage showed McLee disarming the man, discarding the gun quickly and fleeing when shots were fired.
Bad arrests happen all-too-easily in the heat of the moment.

But what the h**l was the court system doing? The courts are supposed to weed out the bad cases. A year in jail for something that was recorded on tape? Sheesh.

There is that of course. But what struck me was the fact that he had spent a year in jail on a wrongful arrest YET still went to the assistance of a police officer & save him from a terrible death.

Also. what a dig at the bent racist boys in blue.

Will Hollywood wake up to the consequences of what they portray and promote?...

Brooklyn Nine-Nine: New episodes 'in the trash' after George Floyd death
wrote:
... The actor and America's Got Talent presenter also recounted his own dealings with the police, saying police officers had pointed guns at him, mistakenly, before he became a well-known face. "It's something that every black man has been through and it's hard to really try to get other people to understand," he said...

... 'Glorification of police corruption'

Meanwhile, more than 300 black artists and executives - including Michael B Jordan, Idris Elba and Viola Davis - have signed an open letter calling on Hollywood to invest in black communities and stop the "glorification of police corruption" on screen...

... "The way that Hollywood and mainstream media have contributed to the criminalisation of black people, the misrepresentation of the legal system, and the glorification of police corruption and violence has had dire consequences on Black lives," it read...

... the worldwide movement is a chance for deep and meaningful change...

Here's hoping for some positive change.

Can we also pull Hollywood away from glorifying guns and the long out-dated Wild West?...

All only in the USA?

Stay safe!

Just another average police officer.
Editor’s note: This article contains extremely graphic and racist language, reader discretion is advised.

Need a new rule introduced PDQ.
ALL uniformed police officers logging on duty are to place their mobile phone/s in their locker.
They are not needed while on duty as their digital radios & bodycams are more than sufficient.
Dispicable

Why bother having police & law enforcement?
We do it, we end up nicked & jailed.
Bureaucratic ******'s do it & we get this:
A Ministry of Justice spokesman said: "These were horrendous crimes and we have apologised to the victims for the unacceptable failings in this case.

More particularly, Chris Grayling should have his licence to run a government department - any department - revoked.
