I used this off-time to clean my heatsinks and fans, plus install an additional 1070 in one of my development rigs. Big thanks to Eric and company that are likely spending their free time to get this fixed up. |

Nearing 4th day??? I find this sort of time is great for doing antivirus scans, running MSRT (Microsoft Malicious Software Removal Tool) Scandisk, Defrag, etc etc. To say nothing of other @Home distributed computing projects (Einstein, Folding, etc etc) I echo the sentiment "Big thanks to Eric and company that are likely spending their free time to get this fixed up." |

Here are 33 other BOINC projects (not counting SETI@Home of course) to keep your computing platforms of choice busy in the interim... Although I do have a hunch it's going to come back up today. |

Dear Sir, dear Sir as some one that has done queit well out of Mining crypto I would say if you are trying to make money out of mining gridcoin by hireing a cloud server then I would say you are wasting your time @ $00.0550 a coin then I would say your wasting your money . As someone that owns BTC,BCC, SAI, LTC,RPB,ZEC,DODGE,BTG trust me your mining the wrong coins . I do not see Gridcoin getting anywhere near the price of DASH,ZEC,BTG,BCC,DCR,MONARO I would suggest you switch to mining another coin and I would advise you to mine BCC,ZEC,BTG many of the others are now not profitable unless you have a hell of a lot of Hashing power. I have 1 1060 6gig card 1 960 4gig card 1 750 2 gig 1 680 2 gig and I earn the minimum payout every day of 0.01 and I will earn that mining ZEC ,BTG,BCC BCC price $1428 ZEC price $332 BTG(Bitcoin Gold) price $300 as of today Once you have a small amount witch will only take you approx. 10 days pulling average of 700sol's witch the 4 cards I have are averaging you will then be able to trade them for Gridcoin and you will have approx. 60 gridcoin per day 0.01 BTG = approx $3 $3 / $0.05 = 60 Gridcoin a day Good luck |

Hope the problem is solved soon - I'm freezing (yes, I heat my house with computers processing SETI data) :) |

It took a little longer than I thought it would, but we're generating work again. Sorry for the delay. @SETIEric@qoto.org (Mastodon) |

"It took a little longer than I thought it would, but we're generating work again." Even if you said "oops, screwdriver slipped, destroyed a motherboard and hence a server" I'd thank you for your work and diligence and long hours and so on. Love ya bro! |

I am glad it is back up and running. I would echo Dahl's comment as I have not turned on any supplemental heating yet. Fortunately it was warm the last couple of days in Chicago. I worked on a few other projects, but the lack of the heat generated crunching SETI data was actually quite noticeable. Rich |
