Long time setizen, Richard Lubrich (Dr. C.E.T.I., aka Dr. SETI, aka nobody) passed away today. Richard was a fixture on the forums from our earliest days. He was a great friend to SETI@home and will be greatly missed. @SETIEric@qoto.org (Mastodon)

My condolences as well. That's the thing about some of us longtime seti crunchers - many have been at it a very long time and some of us will see our lives ended prior to a message being received/decoded. That is the way of things. Rest in peace Dr.C.E.T.I!

That is a really sad thing to hear. In fact he was passing my way and next introducing a couple of things for me to let know, so if perhaps not a friend, at least someone I knew, or perhaps an acquaintance and therefore deserves a little mentioning. The only thing I know is that he was a photographer of profession and was living together with Joanne, who for some reason gets her own personal name.
