Even trusted to "walk" ten cows alone when I was at the age nine to eleven.

Yeah, but cows generally know when it's time to come in & go out & where to go.
:-)
Unless they decide to follow the wrong people home in very thick mist, which is what a herd of about 40 of them did. All my other-half and a family friend had intended to bring back with them was a few beers and some wine from an off-licence near Wanstead but the cows took an enormous shine to them and couldn't be reasoned with at that point :) The friends' house we were at was fortunately the end one in a cul-de-sac, so when the line was drawn at the front door, the cows that didn't manage to fit in the front garden were able to sort of ... herd about outside until morning, when the farmer turned up. He'd followed the cowpats there. They were a very gentle, docile lot :)

Guess the drugs really messed up their "brains" ;-)
Florida couple built drive-thru window at mobile home to sell drugs: cops

Ocala Police said the couple had turned a kitchen window into a drive-thru so customers would not have to constantly enter and exit their home, potentially drawing unwanted attention, WFTV reported. The house had signs directing people where to drive and indicated whether it was open or closed, police said.

The O'boy shortage allows many customers to react.
The shelves where the popular chocolate drink is usually found is now - due to a technical problem - empty around Sweden.

A person who sees the chocolate drink crisis as an opportunity to make money is Klaus-Peter Beiersdorf from Stockholm. In an advertisement on Blocket he sells a batch of packages - with a start bid of 5,000 SEK ($550).

"The O'boy crisis is here. That is why we are now selling three batches in original packaging to the highest bidder, "says the advertisement.
I was doing some fun," he says laughing.
Oh, the Charlie Sheen statue is not included.

Facebook has suddenly "crashed" about 45 minutes ago... Nothing loads, just a generic message..
"Sorry, something went wrong.

We're working on getting this fixed as soon as we can.

Again another despicable waste of band width when a link would have been more than sufficient.

Man charged with firing gun at ‘ghost’
A self-described paranormal investigator is facing charges after firing a gun at a masked intruder he later conceded could have been a ghost, state police said.

(He) , was arrested Friday following a motor vehicle stop in Vernon, where officers found there was a warrant for his arrest. He was later charged with illegal discharge of a firearm, making a false statement to police, second-degree reckless endangerment, misusing an emergency call, and disorderly conduct.

According to an affidavit supporting his arrest, dialed 911 early on the morning of July 26 to report that a man wearing a hooded sweatshirt and a mask and holding a rifle had broken into his home. While still on the line with dispatchers, (He) could be heard yelling “Hey!” and firing two shots in an apparent attempt to scare off the intruder, troopers said.

... State police said (he) had made a strikingly similar report about a phantom home invader back in 2011. In that incident, (He) reported that he heard a loud bang and found a stranger in his home. A canvass of the area also turned up nothing.

Well done on the weight loss Vic - I think I may have found some of if over here, but I doubt you want it back!

Those "push in" sockets are c**p - as you say, a fire looking to happen, glad you've been able to get them replaced. One sad thing is that poor wiring isn't an old thing, recently I was round at a friend's five year old house, one of the outlets in the lounge had an ominous black stain above it on the wall and felt warm to the touch. I commented on this and got the "it's been like that for a couple of months"... Curiosity bit, and I tripped the breaker for that circuit, removed the socket cover and found that screws for the wires weren't even finger tight, after tightening the screws I set about checking the rest of the visible sockets, most were in the same state. No excuse in a five year old house for that sort of shoddy workmanship. I left my friends on the phone to the builders to make a claim and get a proper electrician in to carry on with the rest of the electrics (I ponder how many more in that new estate are similarly affected).

I had a classic dream last night that I was back in high school and couldn't find my classroom, and then I couldn't remember my locker number, and when I went to the principal's office for help, they didn't believe me!

Nice to see you back in the forums Zoom!
Congratulations on loosing the weight and hope you can continue dropping some more!

Yea, those "push in" wire electrical sockets are a real danger. Don't Use Push-in Wire Connections on Switches and Receptacles . Hope you can get them all replaced asap to prevent any fires. From the article linked above:
But this connection is notoriously insecure, and it doesn't really provide the degree of metal-on-metal contact necessary for a good electrical connection. The wires will easily turn into the push-in hole, and gradually work their way loose. And the sheer amount of metal-on-metal contact is very, very small with push-in connections, which can lead to overheating of the device.

Dub crooks of the week award goes to ... Bumbling Robbery Suspect Drops Gun, Pants in Failed Hold-Up

A bumbling robbery suspect attempting to hold up a Denver-area convenience store on Saturday could barely hold up his pants and his gun.
A video of the incident showed the man fumbling his BB gun and briefly dropping his pants while allegedly trying to pull off an armed robbery of E-Cig of Denver in Aurora, Colorado.

The suspect approached the counter when he pulled out the gun, but then bungled his alleged hold-up when he fumbled the weapon on the counter and tried to grasp it, according to the video.

When American police cars are mentioned one thinks of fast, sleek, like Dodge Chargers, or practical like Ford Explorers.

The word "Smart" probably doesn't crop up often

Spotted today near Brooklyn Bridge.

I didn't know they were using those! ~Practical for tight maneuvering in traffic, I guess.

The police cars here in Louisville were Ford Crown Victoria's for many years. I'm not sure what they use nowadays.
