I'd suggest running the SFC (System File Checker) to check that there aren't any missing or corrupted OS (Operating System) files. If that shows no issues I's then re-download the Beta 6 Lunatics installer, re-run the installer & re-select the AVX application. I wouldn't install the Intel iGPU application as processing with the iGPU actually results in less work being done on high clock speed/multi core CPUs like yours. Use the System File Checker tool to repair missing or corrupted system files. Grant Darwin NT |

(unknown error) - exit code -1073741205 (0xc000026b)That's that old error message that occurs when the system is trying to shut down and BOINC is busy trying to restart tasks during the shutdown. It started popping up last year following a specific Windows update and was discussed in 1073741205 Error Code (Unknown Error) and a few other threads. If you look in your BOINC Event Log for the entries just prior to each shutdown, you'll probably see a whole bunch of task restart messages. The simplest way to avoid the errors (though not the restarts), is to update to BOINC 7.6.33 or newer. If you'd rather not do that, the simplest workaround is to make sure that you always shut down BOINC completely (manager and client) before shutting down your system. |
