Just call it a hint.

Cheers.

Hint

Not for a garden hose but water is involved.

Not the tool but everyone has one that it's for.

I just don't see how that tool has anything to do with a roof.

Any other hints, Grant?

Well, I had a new roof put on a couple years ago, and I don't remember that as a tool for sealing anything.

Your roof was not made of what this tool works with

I did say everyone didn't have one (tool) but what it does you need. I have done myself just by hand. it's important you have this on the roof and I'm not saying shingles.
I'm sure Gordon your new roof has it too.
So their's your hint

What Carlos posted. Question is that I don't know if it is a first stage or finishing sheet metal edge forming tool?

Looks like it might be a single lock seamer to me.

Thank you grant. That was a team effort. I would have never have figured it out with the clues.
So lets see if the team can guess what this is.
I sure don't have one in my tool box, but someone out there might.

Looks something like when I worked for a plumber
a flaring tool, work fast because you could shut off the city water.

Not a flaring tool, but it could really mess up a city water system if one hit a main.
