Could this turn out to be the "spanner in works" for the MAGA RINO's?

Ohio abortion rights fight highlights Republican electoral vulnerabilities.

Now this will be an interesting move that could prove fatal.

The stupidity continues in Iowa where freedom is just a myth.

DNC slams ‘MAGA Republicans’ over Iowa abortion ban.

The Democratic National Committee (DNC) on Wednesday slammed “MAGA Republicans” after Iowa passed a six-week abortion ban in the state, highlighting comments by several 2024 GOP White House candidates backing bans on the procedure.

“MAGA Republicans just passed a bill that would force Iowan women to give birth,” DNC Chair Jaime Harrison said in a release.

The ban, Harrison said, was “only possible” because of former President Trump and his Supreme Court appointees, who ruled in a landmark decision last summer to overturn Roe v. Wade and hand the decision to restrict or protect abortion over to the states.

“Republican abortion extremists are running for the highest office in the United States, and we know they won’t stop until they rip away reproductive freedom from every woman in this country,” Harrison said.....
There is no such thing as, "the land of the free", and it's getting less free by the day with those MAGA RINO's that want to control everyone in the end.

But this was expected from the mob that doesn't respect others' personal freedoms.

Iowa governor plans to appeal block on restrictive abortion law.

And I might as well throw this in here as well because it also effects personal freedoms.

GOP AG gets told again. Is he deaf?

Missouri Supreme Court orders the GOP attorney general to stand down in fight over abortion costs.

The Missouri Supreme Court on Thursday ordered the Republican attorney general to stand down and allow an initiative petition to legalize abortion in the state to move forward.

Supreme Court judges unanimously affirmed a lower court's decision that Attorney General Andrew Bailey must approve the cost estimate provided by the auditor, despite Bailey's insistence that the cost to taxpayers of restoring abortion rights could be as much as a million times higher than what the auditor found.

Because Bailey refused to approve Republican Auditor Scott Fitzpatrick's cost estimate, the secretary of state has not been able to give the amendment his stamp of approval that is needed for supporters to begin gathering voter signatures to put it on the ballot in 2024.

In Thursday's Supreme Court order, judges found that Bailey's stonewalling meant plaintiff Anna Fitz-James, who was represented by the ACLU of Missouri, lost out on nearly 100 days she could have been collecting signatures. .....

That didn't go down well with the Mad Abbott of Texas and his crazy MAGA RINO's and religious nutters.

Judge rules Texas' abortion ban is too restrictive for women with pregnancy complications.

But of cause the moron will appeal.

And all because he wants to play god.

Tommy Tuberville Faces Growing Outrage as He Battles Against Military.

Senator Tommy Tuberville, an Alabama Republican, faced backlash this weekend for continuing to block hundreds of military promotions in protest over the Pentagon's policies relating to abortion.....

.....In a statement shared exclusively with Breitbart News last month, Tuberville said he "warned the Pentagon that I would hold their most senior nominees if they broke the law."

"They did it anyway, and forced my hand. Since then, [Senate Majority Leader] Chuck Schumer and the Biden Administration have refused any serious negotiations, and so this situation has dragged on," he said. "This has given me more time to look more closely into the background of some of these nominees, and I have deep concerns about some of them. I will continue this process of oversight and I will announce my opposition to specific nominees in the weeks ahead.".....
I bet that he hasn't even looked at 1 of them and even Nikki is on his case now.

Nikki Haley on Tuberville holds: ‘Mistake’ to use military families as political pawns.

All in all this subject alone is losing them votes and more won't hurt to drive the point home to those mighty white far right christians.

I've been debating where to stick this, but seeing as it is linked in a way I'll stick it here. Medieval at best.

A Lab Test That Experts Liken to a Witch Trial Is Helping Send Women to Prison for Murder.

....Medical examiners who rely on the lung float test typically do so in cases where someone gives birth outside of a hospital, often at home and far from the watchful eyes of medical professionals. Absent those witnesses, doubt can overshadow the insistence that the baby was stillborn.

Since the Supreme Court struck down the constitutional right to abortion, legal experts and reproductive justice advocates have voiced fears that an increased reliance on the lung float test will lead to more prosecutions in a landscape where any pregnancy that doesn’t end with a living, breathing baby can be viewed with suspicion. In several cases, the fact that a woman had considered abortion was used against her. Black, brown and poor women, research shows, already disproportionately face pregnancy-related prosecutions. Black women also are more than two times as likely to have a stillbirth as white women.

Even medical examiners who perform the test as part of an autopsy acknowledge its shortcomings. They concede that there are several ways to perform it, undermining the standardization that many forensic disciplines demand. Yet judges have allowed prosecutors to use it as evidence in court.......

Gods, yes that is the problem. They are invented by man to control. Invention or invocation of one must be met by a brain reset. Say fifty ECT treatments at a minimum.

Will yet another red state get told by voters to back off?

Ohio voters finally get a chance to overturn dangerous abortion ban.

Voters from coast to coast cast their ballots last November to protect reproductive freedom through ballot measures and by delivering decisive victories to lawmakers who will champion their fundamental rights. They have the chance to do it again on Tuesday in Ohio.

Voters in the Buckeye State will weigh in on Issue 1 next week. Ahead of the vote, a coalition of progressive and reproductive rights organizations are working tirelessly to protect abortion rights and access. If approved, the measure will block the state’s dangerous six-week abortion ban, passed by the GOP-led state legislature and currently blocked by the courts.. On Tuesday, the voters can put people—not politicians—back in charge of their own decisions about their bodies and families.....

It looks like that the abortion policies of those MAGA RINO nutters are not going down well with the public.

Abortion rights advocates, Democrats score unlikely wins in US state elections.

Democrats and abortion rights advocates notched a string of electoral victories in the United States on Tuesday, an early signal that reproductive rights remain a potent issue ahead of the 2024 presidential race.

In Ohio, a state that voted for Republican Donald Trump by 8 percentage points in the 2020 presidential election, voters approved a constitutional amendment guaranteeing abortion rights, Edison Research projected.

The outcome extended an unbeaten streak for abortion access advocates since the US Supreme Court's decision last year to overturn its 1972 Roe v Wade ruling and eliminate a nationwide right to end pregnancies.

In Virginia, Democrats won control of both legislative chambers, according to the Associated Press.

The result was a rebuke for Republican governor Glenn Youngkin, who campaigned hard for Republican candidates and sought to unify them around his proposal to ban most abortions after 15 weeks of pregnancy.

And in Kentucky, Democratic governor Andy Beshear won a second four-year term, Edison projected, defying the deep-red leanings of a state that voted for Mr Trump by more than 25 percentage points in 2020......
