Gordon, as in most of my hard cases, Google is your friend, there's nothing that can't be sorted out (it's just a matter of getting the time to do it). ;-)

The old 32 camera setup control unit was still up there Grant (likely 2nd hand to start with off fleabay), but totally dead, though these new setups are now so cheap and robust now I may just get 1 myself. 360hrs recording time on all 8 cameras with a 6TB hard drive, we went with a 4TB so 240hrs.

Not that much happens around here (especially in the CBD, LOL), but there are some feral cats, a lot of rabbits, a couple of foxes and a constant stream of terrorists tourists going through here all the time (plus we have a few around here that just need watching).

Cheers.

The first one I had was cordless and in a building with 33 units they don't preform worth a damd.
first floor over the garage was cement and to get a signal was next to none. 3rd floor was about the same.
So I went hard wire and the pictures were really good too.

the building was 120 feet by 90 feet with a lot of steel in it.
come to think of it I think I have a few more in storage yet.
Cheers everybody

Yeah well, I know, but I'm tired of messing with it, and I'd gladly pay you to figure it out if you were in my neck of the woods.

G'morning everyone, from another cooling, windy, but sunny Sunday in the highlands down under.

Well now that the 2nd half of my lazy weekend gets underway all that is on the cards for today is a BBQ 2 streets over and that is still 3hrs away so I'm going to have another coffee.

Cheers.

BBQ's and a half dozen beers would really go good right now. LOL

Lazy day here, I guess I'll go out and chase the little gray haired old ladies to start. LOL
Cheers everybody

G'morning everyone, from a chilly start to the working week in the highlands down under.

I've found Grant that some of them grey haired ladies run a lot faster than I can. ;-)

Only 1 thing went wrong here over the weekend and that was the hot water system springing a leak so when 9am gets here I'll arrange for a new 1 to be installed. :-(

Other than that it was a great weekend.

Cheers.

I know that feeling with the water shut off and waiting for a replacement part. Just glad it was a easy fix. :)

Over here Admiral all hot water systems must have their own shut off and back flow valve so the water can stay on when the unit has failed and as my shed also has its own hot water system losing 1 system for a few days isn't really much a problem (except for mopping all the water up). ;-)

Cheers.

I had an apartment once and the tank was only 2 years old when we moved in.
it was in a closet in a hallway, the tank let go and flooded everywhere. and what a mess.
Sears came out right away even when it was a Saturday evening.

I think plumbing code should require a floor drain next to every water tank installation.

Funny you should say that Gordon, the heater for the whole building is next to my apartment and
one night I heard making noise. I told the manager here about it in the morning and she said I'm sure it;s okay.
But late that afternoon it burst, 300 gallons of hot water. Guess what? No Drain , it even tried to come through the wall but the out side door to the room let it out.

Has a drain now. LOL That was about 5 years ago.

Couple months ago our hot water tank decided it had enough thankfully it was an out side tank, it tripped the safety switch and stopped any follow up water flow, thankfully again
as we rent it was replaced 2 days later so the showers we had was via mains cold tap, just glad it was during a heat wave as the water was nice and warmish..
Can remember the days the tank was in the loft!...

G'morning everyone, from a lovely sunny autumn morning in the highlands down under.

I wish Grant, but sadly I'm just getting over a small bout of the flu instead. :-(

Cheers.

It's been slacking off here Wiggo but this winter was hell all over. it's a real winner.
My daughter had to TDY to El Paso for 6 weeks because of it, so many troups were
down with it the hospital was full and all the help was out sick. (she got a hell of a nice paycheck
but also came back with the flu also) .

It was bad here last winter Grant, though the experts reckon that this winter won't be much better, but at least my dose here this winter looks like I'll be over in a week while last year's took me almost 5 weeks to get over.

Cheers.

At least today Gordon I think that I'm onto a cure and it's not Beer or Rum O'clock (I havn't had 1 of them since last Thursday), but nice sticky sipping whiskey (that I also produce here) is certainly making a big difference as it slowly works its way down my throat. ;-)

Cheers.
