Message 1902909 - Posted: 25 Nov 2017, 20:44:02 UTC

G'morning everyone, from a lovely sunny Sunday in the highlands down under.

Not much to do here today except for mopping the floors again in the 4 rooms in the house that I've finished suga soaping down (about 1 third of the house so far) and once I've conquered the cat smell in them I can evacuate a few more rooms to wash down.

Anyhow, Sunday Beer O'clock is still about 3hrs away so I may become a pirate in 2hrs.

Cheers.

They need to make smart refrigerators that know when you're low and restock for you. ;~)

There are already those smart refrigerators on the market.
This one for instance.

Of course. Once you drink REAL beer there is no going back.

After doing those floors for the 3rd time (and the water didn't finish up looking any cleaner after finishing than the last 2 times) I decided that the alcoholic ginger beer in the fridge needed my attention as it wasn't early enough for me to be a pirate and not late enough for Beer O'clock. ;-)

Cheers.

Do you make the Ginger beer? I had one in upstate New York that was pretty darn good other than no alcohol as a kid, I really miss having it when I needed carbonation. So I have to settle for my beer. LOL

Ran out of beer last night so I guess I have to run to the store for a refill. :)

I hate cleaning up cat pee, I have some horror stories of just that when I was a building manager. And I mean I could go on for hours.

A good range of alcoholic products come out of my brewroom Grant and if my crab apple tree survives its pruning then next year I'll be seeing how they go as a cider (if the cider fails then apple brandy might be the go, or maybe both). :-)

I'm certainly not enjoying cleaning up cat pee, but I'll head inside soon for another nose test, though at least I'm not gagging anymore. :-(

Anyhow, Beer O'clock is still 4hrs away so I better go and grab another coffee. ;-)

Cheers.

Gordon I went to that site and it blocked me saying it was and ad. :O

Recluse ? yup it does help when you don't want to be bothered. My big groceries are all delivered as long as I spend over $50. Heck I can do that in a lunch bag these days. LOL

Well Wiggo, Dec. 1st is almost here and you can start sucking up that sunshine. I bet your all set for your Summer weather.

We had rain all day Sunday (about 1.75") which is good enough.
I need to run to the store for beer which I didn't go get yesterday, me and Dog fell asleep until late so I just let it go. :))
Cheers everybody

G'morning everyone, from a sunny start in the highlands down under before the rain gets here again.

Beer O'clock will be late today as it looks like I'll be going on a 3hr trip south soon into the heat to retrieve a car (24C is the expected here, but 34C is expected where the car is) and it will likely be raining at this end on the way back.

Anyhow I hope that you're all enjoying your drinks and I'll go and get another coffee.

Cheers.

Well Wiggo, I have had to make trips like that where it was 42C and no A/C in the car. :)) well those days are gone, I will not own a car unless it's in it.

Oh yes also a hell of a lot of ice tea to boot. LOL

200 miles from Roswell New Mexico to El Paso Texas will do me in.
Cheers everybody

G'Day everyone, as we here in the highlands watch the rain head this way.

After putting another beer brew down and 2hrs of mowing it's time for a beer or 4 here.

Cheers.

When humans reach Mars, Budweiser wants to make sure there will be beer

Quoted from that article, this doesn't bode well:
"Also, the experience of drinking beer would not be the same. The taste would be different, perhaps nonexistent. Astronauts’ nasal passages get clogged up in space because there’s no gravity to pull body fluids downward. Much like when you have a cold, it’s difficult to taste food and drinks."

G'morning everyone, from a foggy start in the highlands down under.

Well that brew I put down yesterday should be close to finishing blowing off its excess CO2 so I can seal it up and then it's a trip down to the roadhouse for some more fuel for the mower so I can finish mowing the half of the yard that I didn't get done yesterday (the grass here is that thick in places ATM that I have to take 2 bites at them).

Once that's all done it'll be time for Beer O'clock. :-)

Cheers.

G'day everyone, from a sunny, but windy, day in the highlands.

That's great news Grant. :-)

Well my day so far has been spent playing musical bedroom furniture, vacuuming and discovering more washing to do as I work my way towards having another 2 bedrooms in the house ready to wash down . :-(

Anyhow I've had enough of that for the day so it's now time for a beer or 4. :-D

Cheers.

4 sounds better than one, with your summer now you can really work up a sweat. Nothing like a beer under the shade tree or even take your cooler with you there so you don't have to walk far for another, :)

G'day everyone, after a trip to my northern town and back (100km/60miles round trip).

Well with 30's to the east of me and 30's to the west I'm fine here in the middle 1km up at 23C Grant (the warmest day here this week so far), but there was 3 empty longnecks here this morning so 6 was had in the end. Sadly there'll be no shady trees here this year to park under, maybe next year.

While I was gathering spirit supplies in town I also gathered up another 70L fermenter, so as soon as I get across the road for a 15kg bag of sugar for the yeast to feast on I'll have both more beer and rum next week. ;-)

Anyhow, it's time to crack the seal on another longneck. :-D

[edit] Got my sugar now so I hope we're in for another cool morning tomorrow.

Cheers.
