Hi everyone, So I've been sporadically crunching for some time without running into any problems with BOINC, but when I tried to set up a new machine today I noticed that the first two tasks allocated to it don't actually show up in the interface. I tried manually updating a couple of times, but that just seemed to fetch new tasks without making sure the machine knows that it has some older tasks that haven't been sent. Is there any way to re-send the task so that BOINC will download it? The computer's ID is 8238559 and the tasks are 5635022449 and 5635022554. Thanks! |

@ Justin.L. On the BOINC Manager "Tasks" tab far left top button it should read "Show Active Tasks". If it doesn't, click it to show All tasks. |

Thanks for the suggestion. The button is labelled as "Show Active Tasks", and when I posted this I could see another 2 tasks that were scheduled for later. The two missing ones still didn't appear, though. |

They sound like "ghosts" - they set off on their journey from the servers and never made it to your computer. We all get them from time to time, particularly around the start of unplanned outages. There is little you can do to them. Just leave them, eventually they will time out and get sent on to another user.
