Mods forgive if this is the wrong place So on the FB's Seti@home page a video was posted by a member showing a rare look at China's 500 Meter Telescope. https://www.facebook.com/100000058608536/videos/pcb.1597332933611978/1597329006945704/?type=3&theater For those without FB, I'll see if I can get the member to post to Youtube. |

can anyone translate the part about SETI related activities? seems like it wasn't really addressed, though. like whether they are going to allow piggybacking or dedicated use. |

Here is the youtube address for any that don't have a facebook account to view the video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XJxT1FkfHWU&feature=youtu.be I remember sometime back it was suggested that Seti might get some data from them but there has never been any official word. More of a wait and see I believe. |

Great video. Thanks for posting. Still hard to get a grip on the size of that thing; I'd love to see it in person! The mind is a weird and mysterious place |

I doubt it - this is a deep space dish, lacking the mobility required for Solar system observations Bob Smith Member of Seti PIPPS (Pluto is a Planet Protest Society) Somewhere in the (un)known Universe? |
