A repeat of Hitler vs. Stalin? Now morphed into Nazi's vs. Putin.

Not really. But there are still many Ukrainians that still adore Stepan Bandera!

Blyat! Miss Alex Stiletto on this...

Time for some blins to munch and stay Cheeki Breeki:)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5UOowIxfX88

Thank you for the reference.
Stephen Bandera was arrested by the Nazi's and later killed by the KGB.
One of the reasons in 1941 the German Army was able to quickly advance into the Soviet Union. Was a general belief among the population and military personnel, that nothing could be worse than Communism.
They were wrong.

Every country have some dark pages in their history
Russia, Ukraine, Germany and yes Sweden:)
However Stepan Bandera is quite unknown to us.

Then we have Stalin of course!
Responsible to killing millions of people!

As an internal row went public between the self-proclaimed “leader” of the so-called “Luhansk People’s Republic” Igor Plotnitsky and the “interior minister” Igor Kornet he sacked recently, the militant stronghold of Luhansk may become a site of an open armed confrontation between the opposing gangs, including with the involvement of forces of the neighboring militant-held territory, the “Donetsk People’s Republic”.
Yes, obviously a heavy Moscow hand in the dramas in Luhansk. The separatists are separating. The master tries to restore its order.

200 armed militants have stormed the building of the so-called "Prosecutor General's Office" ("PGO") in the center of the Russian-occupied city of Luhansk, according to the Drugoi Lugansk local news portal.

Leader of the All-Ukrainian Union "Fatherland" political party, Yulia Tymoshenko:
For the four post-maidan years, more than eight million people left Ukraine. Most of them, 4.4 million, left to Russia, 1.2 million - in Canada, 1.2 million - in Poland, almost a million - in the USA. Here is the answer to the question of how we live in our country.

To say that Україна has a problem is an understatement.
The conflict in Ukraine occurs at different levels; between groupings internally in Ukraine; between Ukrainian authorities and Russia, as well as between NATO and Russia. There is a conflict about land areas, about power and security, about history, identity, abuse of power and manipulation of voters and international law.
A large proportion of the population lives in poverty.
It's now 4 years since the Maidan "revolution".

https://translate.google.se/translate?hl=sv&sl=sv&tl=uk&u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.globalis.se%2FKonflikter%2FUkraina
Hundreds of thousands of people participated, and protests were also motivated by dissatisfaction with the government's poor governance, including corruption.
Since then we don't see any real reforms to clean up the mess.
No wonder there is a Brain Drain in Ukraine.

As for Yulia Tymoshenko.
She is former prime minister of Ukraine (2005; 2007-2010).
In October 2017, Tymoshenko announced that she intends to participate as a candidate to be president of Ukraine in the 2019 election.
So she has every reason there is to discredit the sitting government.

What Countries, their peoples and cultures believe is their destiny. Sometimes lasts for centuries and centuries.

Yes. But Russia is very special with their view to history.
Here is a highly educational video from them:)

And for centuries Russia always wants more territory to protect Moscow from invaders.
King Karl, the young hero,
He stood in smoke and dust.
He pulled his sword from the belt
And foughting in the battle.
"Look how the Swedish steel bites,
Come on, let's try!
Out of the way, moscovites!
Good spirit you boys in blue! "

Very interesting and not very inaccurate
It was, in many ways. More truthful than the America Is Always Bad drivel that is infecting our Universities.

And in that Russia it's very much like the US.
One difference though.
In Russia you are tought history and geography that most pupils learn.
In the US you are tought history and geography that most pupils doesn't learn.
Some Americans are ignorant and proud of it.

As I talk to the young people today. I am shocked and sadden about their ignorance.

Most likely there is educationally problem in the US.
Sometimes I believe that many Americans even doesn't know that there are countries outside the US.

Case in point:
My wife was having a conversation with one of her University Students. My wife stated she was originally from Argentina. The following response from this University Student was:
"Oh, that's between Spain and Portugal."
I am not kidding.

LOL:)
On the other hand it can be somewhat tricky to know about other countries than country you live in.
But when US kids are questioned "Who is the Vice President in the US" and the answers are like.
"A girl? Hillary Clinton?, Barack Obamas wife?, John McCain, Bill Clinton, Joe Budden"'¨
https://youtu.be/1MwN5nDajWs?t=106
And the currency in the EU is not Euro.
Only in the EU countries that are part of the European Monetary Union, EMU.
I have not seen or hold any Euros in my hand:)

Ukraine is very keen to join the EU.
Good luck. It will take some reforms in Ukraine first and that will probably take a decade or so to happen.

UNIAN: About 10 people have been injured after police early on Wednesday attempted to storm the tent camp made by supporters of leader of the Movement of New Forces Party, former governor of Odesa region and ex-president of Georgia Mikheil Saakashvili near the Ukrainian parliament's building in Kyiv.
Protesters began to defend themselves, using firecrackers. The police resorted to tear gas and piled the fence. In response, people began to beat them with wooden and metal bars, and the law enforcers had to retreat.

Hmmm....
Swedish couple Marcus Börjesson and Nina Erixon chose a different place to marry, an old fire station in Prypjat, only kilometers from the Chernobyl nuclear power plant.
"There is no fascination with the accident. It's more that the accident has created the site, which is insanely awesome but at the same time quite scary, says Marcus, who also tells them that they had to carry a radiation meter throughout the visit.
Because they both worked as firefighters, they chose the ceremony to take place in an old abandoned fire station and that they would wear clothing that was adapted to the environment.
The wedding was executed by their guide and for the wedding to be genuine, they were wedged in Ukrainian. Marcus and Nina, who did not speak the language, had practiced the phrases to say "yes" to each other.

Someone managed to read an OHCHR report about the situation in eastern Ukraine.
Deep inside new UN report on eastern Ukraine conflict there's this bit about a "military court" in Luhansk "people's republic" sentencing a man to 12 years in prison for "high treason" after a closed-door trial. He was arrested for singing a Ukrainian song in a local bar.

During Sunday’s March for Impeachment, a group of protesters led by former Georgian President and ex-Odesa Governor Mikheil Saakashvili went up to the Zhovtnevy Palace aiming to set up their Headquarters, where they were confronted by police and National Guard forces that cordoned off the building.

Russia is about to terminate the work of its representatives at the Joint Centre for Control and Co-ordination (JCCC) in Donbas, according to a statement by the Russian Foreign Ministry.
Russian officers are leaving Ukraine on December 19 due to the "tense moral and psychological situation" and "Ukrainian servicemen's disrespectful attitude," an UNIAN correspondent in Russia reports.

Well fellow Ukrainians, this is EU for you.
http://strategeast.org/ikea-plans-enter-ukraine-opening-first-store-kyiv-2019/

And what happened to the anti-corruption laws in Ukraine?
Seems not to be working.
Ukraine is nr 131 (Very bad) of 176 countries in the world together with Russia according to Corruption Perceptions Index
https://www.transparency.org/news/feature/corruption_perceptions_index_2016
The saga of ex-President Viktor Yanukovych in Ukraine show how collusion between businesses and politicians siphons off billions of dollars in revenue from national economies, benefitting the few at the expense of the many.
This kind of systemic grand corruption violates human rights, prevents sustainable development and fuels social exclusion.
