"This guy is a clown. He's like a caricature of himself."
Actually that was said about Hitler-- and you probably thought it was about Trump?

"During the first weeks of 1933, the Nazi regime deployed the radio, press, and newsreels to stoke fears of a pending “Communist uprising,” then channeled popular anxieties into political measures that eradicated civil liberties and democracy. SA (storm troopers) and members of the Nazi elite paramilitary formation, the SS, took to the streets to brutalize or arrest political opponents and incarcerate them in hastily established detention centers and concentration camps. Nazi thugs broke into opposing political party offices, destroying printing presses and newspapers."

Hmm, for a moment there I thought you were referring to the US Customs & Border Patrol :-)

Hmm. This is almost sounding familiar.

"Trump Attacks The Media As 'Dishonest'"

"The White House on Friday barred reporters from numerous major media outlets..."

"Homeland Security Unveils New Rules On Immigration Law Enforcement"
"Today's memos offer a guide to allow Trump to enact his mass deportation agenda which he talked about during the campaign trail but actually are even more extreme than his rhetoric."

"The department [of Homeland Security] is looking to hire 15,000 additional enforcement agents..."

Donald Trump [regarding Guantanamo Bay]:"...we're gonna load it up with some bad dudes, believe me, we're gonna load it up."

Steve Bannon: "You know, I've said that there's a new political order that's being formed out of this. And it's still being formed."

...

...

Yes, history is starting to repeat itself all over again with another angry idiot.

If Trump has his way there'll only be angry white christians left in the U.S..

Cheers.

Trump is an angry white president.
And if all that is left in the USA in four years are angry white christians, I am quite fine with that, because I am one, and we voted him into office to do our bidding.

An angry white man with mental health issues that wind up in the bottom of a bottle.

Heard a republican quoted as saying they all know the wheels are coming off the wagon, they are just trying to get what they can now.

You will have to look up that republican because leakers should stay anonymous.

Over here we hear that there's quite a lot of turmoil building up in the republican ranks Gary.

Cheers.

There are far more angry white christians in the US than agnostics.
That is a simple fact, and not an attack on anybody.
Please do not put meanings into my words that I do not intend to make.
I say quite enough on my own at times without having my thoughts embellished.

I suppose that some degree of 'artistic interpretation' would be acceptable..............LOL.

So do those agnostics have an equal right to have their voices heard? Or should they resolve themselves to be second-class citizens whose opinions don't matter?

Are you asking ME what my opinion is? Or what I think the general law of the land should be?
The two questions might get different responses.

Or, are you (most likely) just trying to raise an unanswerable question to raise a ruckus?

I assure you my question was meant to be answerable and an inquiry of your opinion. Obviously as an outspoken believer I know what your thoughts are as to what the law of the land should be. Where do atheists and agnostics fit in society in your world view?

Quote me now, where I have ever made a statement such as you are attributing to me.
Jihad, for chrissakes, jihad????
I am a Catholic. Where the F did you come up with jihad????
I do not agree with agnostics, but I recognize their right to their opinion. Or lack of it.
Their loss, in my opinion. But, it is exactly that..........MY OPINION.
Not a freaking edict or call to arms.
Get real.
Or at the very least, quit yanking my chain..........LOL.

Er... not even close on that one. Rather, not the denomination I ever would have guessed.

Reminds me of the jihad being waged right now in Pasadena CA. Every address in Pasadena CA got "THE BOOK" mailed to them. The implication from the jihadists is you better believe and obey "THE BOOK" or they will be coming for you. And they have troops on the ground knocking on doors! These [redacted] insist you listen to them and buy their cult like beliefs. There is no option to decline. If you try they put you on their hit list!

OH, I am not devout.
I am a casually practicing Catholic.
I give a rat's petoot what the Pope says.

I bend and shape my faith into something I can work with.
i believe in a higher power. In my upbringing, I was taught that his name was Jesus.

I other lands, with other faiths, he is called by other names.
I believe, other than the muslim faith, that most of us are invoking the same deity.

I, at this point in my life, have to acknowledge that something or somebody with far greater strengths than I alone can muster, has made it possible for me to be who and what and where I am.

This, I believe without question or quibble.
And although I have never used my status here on Seti to try to force what I believe down anybody's throat, I can at times take advantage of conversations like this one to express my opinion.

My faith is flexible. It is all one needs. Faith shall lead you to the truth, my friends.
And what that truth is, only YOU can discover. I cannot take you there, nor shall I try to.

It is YOUR journey, your life. And only you can accept or deny the truth within yourselves.

Not my place to try to tell you where your path lies. Only you can determine that.

Have a fine day, which Christ gave you when he was sacrificed on the cross for all of our sins.
There I go being a sometimes Catholic again.........................................................................

You all remember John Dean? White house counsel to Richard Nixon?

Well, seems he thinks tRump is echoing Nixon! Nobody else could be more qualified to make such a statement. It won't be long now as there are already calls for a special prosecutor.
