I use BOINC to heat my house during the winter as I'm sure some of you do as well. I find it very annoying to turn on and off projects based on how hot or cold it is in the house. Is there some form of software that communicates with a wifi connected thermostat or some type of data connected internal probe? If not is there anyone willing to take on the challenge to alleviate this hassel?

I'm hoping to get My mobile home's Coleman central gas heater fixed on Monday, My PC uses a PNY GTX580 LC, I tried to do SOG, and it gets to near 90C, makes Me nervous, I should put in a faster fan and maybe use the vacuum cleaner on the radiator(though it looks clean), but then I should also put some heatsink compound on the xeon cpu equipped pc, but no matter how much I think about working on a PC, I just can't get around to do that.

TThrottle from efmer.eu will allow you to set a max percentage that limits each core to e.g. 80 % (as I have set on my laptop).

I copied the quote from a question I asked over on "Number Crunching".

As the fall season gets underway and temps go down, the kitties always stay warm with the crunchers.

My Purrball kitty has taken a liking to wandering out to sit with dad at times.
And lays down on the floor right in front of a couple of GPUs tossing out nice warm air at her.

Meow!
