Doesn't take long to look up https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robin, Chris. European robin (Erithacus rubecula) - I think Britain is still European in this context. American robin (Turdidae migratorius) - so named by 1703, a member of the Thrush family. Presumably not so named by the native First Peoples. |

Well when I was last in the US I did try and get a picture of the American robin, but all came out less than perfect, but yes it looks most like a blackbird. As to squirrels, here is one I snapped in Flushing Meadows, Queens, NY ![]() Looks like any old grey squirrel you might see here. Now a few more "street art" pics. This is up on the side of a building. ![]() Sorry about the lamppost, but that was the best pace to get the shot, quite striking. This next one on an empty shop. ![]() This on a side wall. ![]() And this one make you think you have trouble focusing!! ![]() I actually hadn't realised there were that many. |
