I dont know what happened but my average work is decreasing day by day.My computers are still working and finishing work units as usual, i only participate in setiQhome by the way. My last 40 days link is this: http://boincstats.com/en/stats/-1/user/detail/81670/lastDays I wonder because of the version 8, are the seti servers too busy to give credits about the version 7s' finished tasks. At the 25 of march my average was about over 5000 unit per day but now its 3120 units per day. As i said before no change in boinc, my computers still keeps working on the tasks like as before the march 25. Does anybody knows what is the problem? |

Well on the 25th of March it seem you had five computers crunching However you now seems to just have two This one last contacted SETI@Home on the 2nd April http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/show_host_detail.php?hostid=7449397 This one on the 31st March http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/show_host_detail.php?hostid=7273557 And this on on the 30th March http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/show_host_detail.php?hostid=7694272 |

Thank you, Yes that's right but i dont think that is the point.Because those computers are the lowest credit capable ones.I mean the main 2 computers are the x2 250 and fx 6300.Only these two computers can produce more average than that computers all.The other ones are work pc's that only compute on workdays and only in cpu. And now my average become 3072. I still looking for an answer... |

Well your machine with the highest total and RAC hasn't reported in a week and has 100 tasks "in progress" http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/show_host_detail.php?hostid=7273557 With that machine not reporting your RAC will start to fall as that machine has a higher RAC than all the others combined. As to the other two machines I am no expert but the x2 250 with the GT730 does seem to have a lower RAC than I would expect, the GT 730 is taking about 80 minutes on average per task, that would see about 18 tasks a day, which is faster than my old GT240, which manages to keep an RAC of around 1300 and hasn't varied in months. http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/show_host_detail.php?hostid=6994034 Do you run the X2 250 and the FX 6300 24 hours? |

Hi Bernie, No not 24 hours buy at least 16 hours a day that two computers compute.(x2 250 and the fx 6300) And yes that computers you linked 100 tasks "in progress" but the number of tasks of only x2 250 and the fx 6300 have ability to send must keep my average credit about 4500 minimum.Because it was like this until 25th of march. As i said the main ones are x2 250 and the fx 6300 one.The others are the computers of my office and compute only in workdays for 8 hours and not with %100 cpu power. They are only the teammates, not the master players. And now my average credit is 2780 :( i wonder what happened to my credits. |

Drops to 2609 and keeps decreasing... :( OK look at AMD Athlon(tm) II X2 250 Today it has so far returned one task, where my machine with just an old GT240 has returned 6 The AMD FX(tm)-6300 has returned 2. These both seem low to me but I am not an expert. Also the Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-3470 with 100 task in progress still hasn't reported for 9 days. I think I will move this to the number crunching forum where better brains than mine will no doubt be able to help |

I dont know what happened but my average work is decreasing day by day.My computers are still working and finishing work units as usual, i only participate in setiQhome by the way. As Bernie has mentioned a couple of times, the i5-3470 (the machine that is responsible for most your credit) hasn't contacted the Seti server since the end of last month. It doesn't matter how much work a machine does- if it doesn't return it to Seti, you won't get any Credit for it, and your Recent Average Credit will fall & continue to fall until it bottoms out at the level of your other systems, or the machine in question contacts the server again to return the work it has done, and it is then Validated. EDIT- it also appears none of your systems are making use of the GPUs, which can do more work than the CPUs. Also on the work returned by the systems you say are you main ones there are several restarts. If you have "Suspend when computer is in use" selected and you have a programme that is now running more than it was, or you are using the computer more than you have been, then that will significantly impact on the amount of work that can be done for Seti. it also appears none of your systems are making use of the GPUs, Well it looks like http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/show_host_detail.php?hostid=7943740 Is only using the GPU !! Just not very much. |

it also appears none of your systems are making use of the GPUs, Not sure what's going on with my brain. I was positive I checked out that host; probably clicked one of the other hosts twice. *bangs head on desk* EDIT looking at returned results for that host, "No heartbeat from core client for 30 sec - exiting" several times on one result, and several restarts for a couple of the other results.
