If the computer is very unstable (can hang/crash/BSOD any moment) it is obviously dangerous to flash BIOS / Firmware The update Firmware attempt was for Asus GTX 970 - Device Id: 10DE 13C2 ; Subsystem Id: 1043 8508 https://www.techpowerup.com/vgabios/162336/asus-gtx970-4096-140903.html And the used ROM file was wrong - for MSI GTX 970 - Device Id: 10DE 13C2 ; Subsystem Id: 1462 3160 https://www.techpowerup.com/vgabios/162340/msi-gtx970-4096-140910.html  - ALF - "Find out what you don't do well ..... then don't do it!" :)  |

I'm running a four 970 machine over at Einstein and its rock solid(using 353.62drivers). They are the Nvidia reference models you buy at BestBuy. There was a sale on them for $329. Installed 980ti hybrid kits and running memory P2@3500mhz, and boost clocks around 1400. Temps for the cards average 38-41C, on full 99% usage. I also own four 980s, found some new ones for under $400 so at that price they become a good buy. If your a fan, keep any eye out for deals on EVGA's B-stock page, they had 970s for under $250 awhile ago. |
