Well, at least most of you, if I have my bets covered, are not pregnant anyway.

John Hite, otherwise known as 'the bear', passed on just as the band was hitting it's stride. This little bit of love was joined in by none other than John Lee Hooker, who did a number or two on this somewhat obscure album.

It remains one of my favorites.

Here is the original cover art.....And the opening song.

For what could be the last time ever in her life..........

Tigger just raised her tail, and trotted over to me, nuzzled me, and demanded to be petted.

She looked at me with the 'big eyes', yeah, even though I know she cannot see much anymore. And demanded her attentions.
Her fierce meow is much weaker these days, but it carries the same significance.
She still is able to vocalize her wishes.

And her love is still unconditional.

She comes to my side here, by the hour, as I sit here conversing with you.
She just sits and stares at me. And wanders over to get her pettings.

This 'patter song' has challenged many a singer, but if you notice, the chorus has to keep up as well.......
Hmmm.........
HMS Pinafore.........

What for? Well, sir, it's about a ship at sea.
You mean seamen? Yes. Exactly that, Sir.
Doubtful................
I mean a boatfull, indeeed Sir.
And your boat is ready to float?
As ready as she's going to be, my friend.

Well,k then let's take off to sea.

You shall now know me as 'Heisenberg'.

Some thing you can touch, but can never feel or reach or sense completely.

I can be detected only when I wish to, and even then only by chance.

Just like that which we wish we could detect here on Seti,......

Good moniker; surprised it is unused.

Are you going to keep it permanently, or is there some... Uncertainty? :^D

Edit: Come to think if it, for early 20th century theoretical physicists Schrödinger would be a good or even better fit, being the Schrödinger's Cat guy and all.

Do you think that for one moment, I do not realize that?
I am a professional chemist, and know all the time the the DEA and the mexican cartels are after me.
The know my IP addy every moment.
Why do you think it changes every few minutes?
They are closing in. But the fight is not going to be a quiet one, I assure you.

I can make more money in seconds via chemistry than I can in years of working a real life.

And you always wondered how I paid the bills.

The devil is coming. And I am quite ready for him.

Well....
I am home for the weekend taking care of Tigger II.
I don't know how she has made it this far, but she has not long now as she has stopped eating.
I lift her from the bed and place her in front of the waterbowl and she takes a small drink. But this morning she had no interest even in tuna fish. And once kitty reaches that point, it's not long.

I held her close on my chest last night petting and cuddling her, but she is not responding as much now.
At one point, I thought she had even stopped breathing for a bit....hard to tell.

I hope to hold her again tonight. Whether it's the last time or not, I do not know. She has surprised me by even holding on this long.
I took vacation tomorrow as well, and shall spend the day with her.
I really would rather that she would pass with me close by, instead of alone.

Besides, I am drawn to tears too often at work, and it's too hard for me to concentrate whilst my thoughts are occupied with her.

I have been so depressed I have not been eating much lately either. Not much desire to cook much or eat. I've lost almost 5lbs. in the last month.
I stopped by the grocery on the way home tonight and got some pork loin, carrots, potatoes, and small onions. Which I have tossed in the crock pot to slow cook. Comfort food. Hopefully once it is ready, I can coax myself to grab a few bites now and again.

For now, it's pretty much just waiting for Tigger to decide when she leaves for the Rainbow Bridge.

Wishing you peace.

Thank you Angela. I thank you so very much for showing your compassion to me no matter the things I have said and done on these boards from time to time.

As much of a kittyman as I am, I never thought this would drive me to the depths of despair that it has. No matter how much I try to talk myself out of it.
It is the fact that Tigger II has to leave me due to cancer and not just of old age that is driving me to such sadness. And I am having trouble convincing myself of that.

Her kitty sisters Bandit and Purrball are becoming more aware that there is something quite wrong with their littermate Tigger. Kitties are very smart, and aware of such things. I think they are trying to console her with kitty kisses and just by staying near to her.

I was talking shop with my supervisor at work tonight and suddenly found myself in tears and unable to talk. When I finally regained enough composure to tell him why, he was very gracious in what could have otherwise been a very embarrassing situation. I described to him that fact that I never had children and I had raised Tigger since she could fit into the palm of my hand.

He kindly said..."Mark...take as much time as you need. I HAVE a 15yo child. And if I were faced with losing her, as you are facing now, I would be every bit as heartbroken. He put his hand on my back and said...Go home, and be with your child."

What a wonderful man to work under. I shall never forget his kindness.

Another co-worker was NOT so understanding. When finding me sitting in the truck I was working on in tears, HIS response was "Hey man, it's just a god****ed cat, get over it.....you need a life...jesus".
Well, my cats ARE much of my life.

Peace, Angela, shall certainly come. But it shall be a very long time in coming.

May God bless all of the rest of you here as well, who try to understand me as I try to deal with such an enormous burden.

That is so nice of you take time off from work to be there with her versus getting "distracted" and being unproductive at work.

Thank you, Dr. Who Fan.

Not so much as being 'nice' as to realize that this is going to require more of my soul than I previously thought may be true.
I'll try to get some dinner later tonight....

And when all is said and done, and Tigger II is laid to rest next to Squirrel and Tigger I in my back yard.....

I shall heal. Not very quickly, but I think I am still young enough to recover somewhat from this.

And, I still have Bandit and Purrball to care for and to console me.

Not sure when...if ever, but. I might one day consider trolling the shelters for a pair of kitties who are bonded and should not be separated and could otherwise not find a forever home. I am not at all sure on where that road may take me, if anywhere at all. But at least the hope and thoughts of continued kitty conservatory are still with me, even when in my depths.

Too soon for me to really consider such things.

Nice to have you back aboard the ship, Joanne and the fine Dr. Ceti.

I did receive your message, quite slow to respond. Sorry.

Very fine you are back on the premises.

My circumstances are not so kind these days.....kitty dying of cancer.
On her last 9-1/2 lives now.

Hope you and yours are doing better.

Meow.
