Will be interesting to see what the investigation reveals as the causes(s). As it failed in winter, i could well believe existing cracking was exacerbated by water in those cracks. Freeze, thaw, freeze, thaw over a few years would well and truly accelerate the propagation of any existing cracks. Grant Darwin NT |

A bit more about that bridge collapse in Pittsburgh. Officials: Bridge not bad enough to close after inspection. Obviously they were wrong and more frightening is that there are 5 other bridges around there of the same age and construction type still in use. I wonder how they rate ATM. |

NJ road rage incident ends in horrific crash as driver loses control, veers off road and flips over DASH CAM VIDEO As summarized by YouTube user Racerwong.Shooterwong, who observed the incident while traveling on the same road and posted the brief dashcam footage online, “Accord and Raptor decided to road rage each other. Because it’s too Small for Bezos Superyacht to Pass Obviously, the yacht builders (located upstream from the bridge) did their planning well. Surely this issue should have been known about a long time before now! Why were they offered the construction contract, and why on earth did they accept it? Happy Crunching, Graham

Racing while drunk A man who crashed his car into a lorry while racing with friends has been jailed for 16 months.Only 16 months?!?! Should have been 16 years IMHO for such an incredibly dangerous act of stupidity. And the other idiots should have got 5years as a minimum, not just a few months. Grant Darwin NT |
