It is reported that he, not unsurprisingly, refused a ride in a helicopter to hospital, preferring to keep his (metaphorical) feet on the ground Bob Smith Member of Seti PIPPS (Pluto is a Planet Protest Society) Somewhere in the (un)known Universe? |

1 must admit though that he stalled it well instead of flying it straight into the ground, or something else. ;-) Cheers. |

1 must admit though that he stalled it well instead of flying it straight into the ground, or something else. Watching the security-cam footage, he was flying the plane right to down to impact even though it looked to be completely stalled! That is one desperate mush/parachuting down for an extreme test of the quality of the seat... Possibly the mound of dirt/refuse helped to reduce injury... Fly safe folks! If the roads in some places of the US were not dangerous already we now have to look out for this? Flying Car Gets U.S. Government Approval ... called Terrafugia in its efforts to bring a flying car to market. It’s announced that it has reached a significant milestone by obtaining an FAA Special Light-Sport Aircraft (LSA) airworthiness certificate for the first version of its Transition roadable aircraft. |

Can't wait to see the first police chase! The "bad guys" will be singing Fly me to the moon as they lower the wings and sail off into the sunset, whilst the cops look befuddled. |

How do you explain this to me insurance adjuster handling your claim? Koala rescued after 5-car pileup on Australian freeway CANBERRA, Australia. ... A concrete highway divider had blocked the koala’s crossing. |

Bloody hell! At least six dead in massive crash involving up to 130 vehicles on icy Texas interstate in US. The incident on Interstate 35 near downtown Fort Worth left behind a tangle of semitrailers, cars and trucks turned every which way, with some vehicles strewn on top of others. Grant Darwin NT |

Farther south, in suburban Austin, more than two dozen vehicles were involved in a second pileup on an icy highway, and five people were taken to a hospital, emergency officials said. They don't wear masks in Texas, so why would you expect them to slow down for icy roads? |

They don't wear masks in Texas, so why would you expect them to slow down for icy roads I have to say based on real observation living in the Dallas/Fort Worth metro area and originally from the Chicago metro area, most people here DO NOT know how to drive even on a dry, sunny day. It's speeding, road rage, and sudden lane changes with out using turn signal are probably 90% of the accident cause. The other 10% is due to just sheer stupid driving stunts like trying to cut across 3 or more lanes of the higway to get to an exit. |
