The Proteas have set us a 213 run target, but we have to get off to a fast start just in case the Ducky/Luwey system comes into play.

More pitch controversy occurs. :-(

Cricket World Cup final drama as Pat Cummins spots pitch red flag.

Why does India keep on doing this stuff for?

Well that ruined the Indian party as the Aussies take out the ICC World Cup by an easy 6 wickets with 7 overs to spare.

Take note England, we're still playing as the 1st of the T20 series against India went down to the wire in a nail biter.

India defeat Australia in opening Twenty20 international despite Josh Inglis century.

No lame excuses were made for the loss. ;-)

Well India should feel better now winning the T20 series against the Aussies 4-1.

At least Travis Head can now join the rest of the main team back at home before we take on Pakistan in 10 days time.

Busy, busy, busy.

He tried to do it once, but he was gone when he did it on a 2nd attempt at the feat. :-O

Bangladesh’s Mushfiqur Rahim has been dismissed in a Test match against New Zealand in a manner very rarely seen in cricket.

The rules are very clear in that a batsman can't handle a ball until it is called dead, you have the bat for a reason.

Day 4 saw the Aussies declare at 5/233 setting Pakistan a 450 run target before collapsing for 89runs and falling 360 runs short of that target.

Nathan Lyon also racked up his 500th test wicket in the process.

Oh well, it's on to the MCG for the Boxing Day test.

We have a term here called "Whinging Poms" which was termed on those coming out from the motherland after WWII (aka: "10 pound Poms" because that's how much they paid to get here) for a completely new life down under, then they went back home because they didn't like how primitive things were here and then found that things there were even worse back at home than before and had to pay again (25-55 pounds this time) to get back (but most never really stopped their bloody whinging).

Well Stuart Broad has made sure that he certainly deserves that motto here and all his trips down under were paid for by others.

Stuart Broad doesn’t want to move on from the Ashes with the now retired English quick digging his heels in and clipping Australia.

Is that because he couldn't pull off what his father's team did, or was it because he couldn't make the list of contenders for the IPL and the big money that goes with it?

You really have to wonder if their minds are on the ball or their bank balances.

The cricket world couldn’t believe what they were seeing when a Melbourne Stars player strolled out to the crease on Saturday.

A picture says a thousand words they reckon.

The Aussies' got sent into bat on what should've been a fast bowler's paradise for the start of the 2nd Test at the MCG with the fall of Warner's wicket bringing on lunch, but the Pakistani bowlers were all over the place resulting in the Aussies finishing the 1st session of play at 1/90.

They expect storms to interrupt today's play at some time possible even during the next session.

2hrs 20mins of play was interrupted by rain and storms at the MCG of which 90mins was recovered today and a 30min early start tomorrow will recover most of that and at stumps the Aussies were 3/187.

But extras are scoring well at 28 due to sloppy bowling (B: 12, LB: 5, W: 9, NB: 2 with some of those byes coming very close to being called wides as well) and there was also a bit of sloppy fielding when Warner was on 2 who went on to add another 36 runs.

Anyhow more possible rain delays are expected for day 2.

After a 2hr 40min session the Aussies are all out for 318 as lunch gets taken, but the Pakistani bowling was so wild that extras came in at the 2nd highest score for the innings at 52 (B: 20, LB: 15, W: 15, NB: 2 and again many of those byes should've been wides).

Now to see how the Aussie bowlers go on that seeming pitch (at least they shouldn't be bowling gutter balls, but there still could be those going over everyone's head).

The Pakistanis started well, but by stumps on day 2 they were 6/194.

After a rain delayed start on day 3 the Pakistanis made 264 in their 1st innings while after a disastrous start the Aussies were 6/187 with a 241 run lead. The Pakistani bowling was much better this time, but their fielding still had a few problems.

Anyhow we'll see what day 4 brings.
