Hello, i'm new on seti@home. I got some questions which i don't understand. Lines sometimes weird on graphs of my tasks. Why is that and are those graphs for only eye-candies? I'm getting pulses with systematic graph for 5-15 minutes which has high-digits sometimes. Does that mean something? I wonder about what kind of pulses and gaussians are we looking for? Systematic graphs for a time period or higher value of pulses, gaussians or both? Ex, (Why are there some spaces between lines in order? And it's repeating in same order for 5 mins or more sometimes.) Thank you. |

It may mean something, or it may mean nothing. The "Y" axis on the graphs used by the screensaver is normalized, so no matter what the maximum value in your data set is it will always appear to be full-Y scale. So you might just be seeing random back ground noise, or it may be a signal worth further investigation. I'm very grateful for answers. I read those articles before however i don't understand some points. What kind of glimpse can it be on my graph on that screen shot? I mean those spaces between lines with stable gaussian. Are those kind actions valuable or common situations for space signal hunt? Are there any situations/values worthy such as xx gaussian, xx triples with xx type graphs? Thank you for responses. |
