It appears that Trump and his supporters understood what is the real threat to this country, our democracy, and our freedoms.

Because of a few bad eggs? They're a very small minority that will be dealt with like all criminals. But I do note you focus on the most extreme to support your statements.

The PRO Trump protests are in full swing ...

And in North Carolina as well

http://www.politico.com/story/2015/06/kkk-chapter-north-carolina-rally-south-carolina-statehouse-confederate-flag-119548

And all the signs I've seen posted saying "Make America White Again". Where's CLYDE's mention of these events and disgust at their actions?

Just using the 'Thought Process' that Hillary supporters used. When describing Trump Supporters, when a few...

BTW: As always. When I just mirror the thinking of those who attack me. By using another example. I get attacked by those who obviously despise themselves.

Your typical go-to argument. Getting old and tired.

I don't recall your questioning of them.

Would that be because we haven't discussed them? Would that be because I notice an obvious bias within you and I like to call it out and watch you go back to your 'safe' arguments?

BTW - Coffee at the coffee house for this discussion?

TBH Trump doesn't scare me that much. All bark and not a lotta bite.

I have to go back to what Alex said, above. In the grand scheme of things, even though I'm not a fan of Trump, I think he was a master strategist and did what he needed to do to get elected. As to what happens next, I'm cautiously optimistic he will play nicer with everyone.

I had a discussion with my wife last night and we came to the same conclusion as Gordon has expressed.
Even though neither of us voted for him, we have some hopes that whatever Trump does will not be disastrous to the country.
Both of us feel that we will somehow be much better off (at present), than if Clinton had been elected. Neither of us found her trustable or believable and felt that she would continue the negative attack on the bill of rights.
At this point we are cautiously optimistic.

Perhaps there is a very valid reason for the protests
https://www.splcenter.org/hatewatch/2016/11/10/trump-team-takes-shape-and-its-not-pretty
As word of the identity of many of Trump’s transition team members leaked out in the last day or so, it’s become apparent that America’s 45th president will be relying on a number of people who, by any reasonable measure, are right-wing extremists.

I'm going to wait with baited breath for the Trump interview on 60 Minutes Sunday evening. As I have stated before the POTUS isn't the person with the power, it's the Congress. He/she is just the one we get to blame or give credit to when things go wrong or right as the case may be. I think Trump can be a great President but whether he becomes one only time will tell.

Thanks a lot America.
With the Trump victory embolding them, our Canadian extreme rightist lunatic fringe is spouting off louder than ever.

Fortunately, we have 3 years before our next federal election.

Gives them 3 years to marshal their forces. Perhaps you can form a Canadian version of the Southern Poverty Law Center to fight the bigots.

Trump to keep Obamacare!
http://www.bbc.com/news/election-us-2016-37953528
Trump likes main Obamacare provisions 'very much'

US President-elect Donald Trump has said in an interview he is open to leaving intact key parts of President Barack Obama's healthcare bill.

Mr Trump, who has pledged repeatedly to repeal the 2010 law, signalled he was receptive to a compromise after visiting the White House on Thursday.

Now there's a shock!

:-)))))))))))))

Lying throughout his campaign. That was a clue? ;-)

If I may say so....
Not nearly the extent and depth of the lies told by Clinton.
And hers involved governmental corruption.
Not private sector business dealings.

Mind you, I am NOT giving Trump a free pass.
But the alternative was absolutely unthinkable.

I believe that Donald Trump is a man of good intentions that sometimes lets his 'heat of the moment' rhetoric get the best of him....at least in the lead up to the election.

I also believe that when things settle down and he does, he shall become a fine president.
He shall have many advisors around him and will not be 'fighting for his political life'.

Please, give him time to settle in and settle down.

How many other politicians have many times once they got where they wanted to be then became better statesmen or women?

This is going to be a good thing for America.
I honestly believe that, or I would not have voted for him.

Perhaps better mostly for upper white class America first. The ones who pay the bills of the country through the taxes they pay. The ones that work for a living instead of relying on welfare and handouts.

But, if the economy and country can be improved, those who are struggling should see their lives finally improved as well.

This is my belief. You may call it a fairy tale, but has not this country's existence been quite a wonderful one, when you think about it?

I have both great faith and great expectations from our president elect. And I hope that he lives up to both.

Meow.

Watch the included video. Where the MSNBC Commentator and Moore destroy, using facts, the racist allegations of a 'Race Baiting' idiot.

IMO The Donald used race baiting and with the few interviews I have heard they confirm my opinion.
The fact is no one can predict what he will do, I hope he does well for the good of the country but I would not be surprised by a total travesty.

Well, I know what Trump's foreign policy SHOULD be. The logical course of action is to buddy up with Russia against the PRC. Of course, this means throwing Europe under the bus, but then Europe refuses to stand up against Russia anyway.

It is likely to turn into Greater Russia vs. Greater USA vs. Greater China the way things are going now. Globalism is dead. It would benefit the USA to cozy up to Czar Putin and thereby be on the winning side.
