While reinstalling BOINC Manager 7.4.42 the following dialog appeared during the Installation step:

This package is incompatible with this version of OS X and may fail to install.

Installing this package may damage your system, and the installation may fail. To stop the program and the installation, click "Cancel Installation".

Besides the cancel button the dialog also contains an "Install Anyway" button.

Has anyone been brave enough to continue the installation? If so, how did that work out?

If you do install it let us know.

I'm still running 10.9.5 as I had problems with Yosemite after they released it.

You probably had a difference experience. Not planning on updating my OS anytime soon

After update to 10.11 BOINC app started to crash on launch. I've reinstalled the latest version (7.4.42) and it works.
