I myself would include the crew in the 60 on board. But if someone is eight months pregnant, does that count once or twice?

LOL!!! Please don't force me to move that to Politics!!!

Ok I figured it out, it was a special ship where the crew were on the outside of the hull, and 60 were on board, it all makes sense to me now.

Surprisingly found that the Big Bullies Cooperative found it titillating enough to post it on their website :-)

France and the Netherlands. There you have the two heavy elephants standing in the way of the Swedish participation in the World Cup in Russia by 2018.

At least 60 people died when a ship sank with 60 people on board.

Just a cack handed way of saying there were no survivors!

But if a ship sank and nobody heard it sink, was there any screaming?

I think you are slightly out of date there my friend.

In the past artificial sapphires and rubies were both used in mechanical watches, with the best quality being termed "21 jewels" and the cheaper "9 Jewels". But the numbers game started to be played hence ISO1112 to stop misleading advertising

In modern watches, the timekeeper is a quartz crystal in an electronic circuit, so accuracy of timekeeping is not dependent on low friction of the mechanical parts, and jewels are not used much any more.

p.s. My Uncle was a Watchmaker & Jeweler.

A gold pocket watch, (that I traded a large pink Tourmaline crystal for), of mine that I had serviced last year was determined to have a couple of small rubies in it to keep time. Unfortunately, the watch isn't 100% accurate. It seems to run about 5 min. fast. (It was serviced for its main spring; which broke. $250.00)

TL

My cell phone is now My watch and more, its time is always accurate..

5 minutes over what period?

One of the requirements to be on a train crew at the museum is a watch that stays within 30 seconds over 24 hours. I haven't worn a watch in several years. When I started at the museum last year, I bought a cheap pocket watch from Walmart. It has turned out, however, to occasionally jump by 30 minutes or more with no warning. Last Friday, I splurged on a Samsung Gear 2 Neo, which pairs with my phone. I had to download a watch face for it that displays seconds. I also had to get a replacement band to fit my wrist.

The museum has three official clocks, all radio controlled. It turns out they don't all agree with each other. I have, up to now, gone by the one at the crew sign in station in the office, but on Saturday I found that it did not agree with my new watch (which I can't change). The one in the depot does agree, within a few seconds, so now it's my standard.

(I am declining to catch up with a whole page of 75 posts in this thread, and however many are on the current page.)
