does any one know what is the frequency of a quantum loop gravity string ? cant theories be united ! commonality ? and if i was an alien communicating using light surely i would be doing it in the same way we use light now eg fiber optics ? a closed system ! so no one can see what we are communicating ! just a thought groovecutter[/b] |

That is for all different kind of techniques to send and recive a message. Experimental quantum computers already exists but so far they only can do simple factorizing that every one can do without computers. Like 15 factorize to 5 * 3. |

Who knows what the future will bring? Maybe someone down the line will figure out how to use quantum entanglement to communicate over vast distances with no time elapsed. It is hopefully most likely that what is not known in quantum mechanics far exceeds what is known. Unfortunately I won't be around to see such a brave new future. Superluminal communication is the hypothetical process by which one might send information at faster-than-light (FTL) speeds. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Superluminal_communication Sounds like Sci Fi to me but then again real science often start with Sci Fi. btw the wiki link also links to this wiki link:) SETI Institute http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SETI_Institute |

The PBS Documentary by NOVA 'The Fabric of The Cosmos: Quantum Leap' describes how quantum entanglement of atoms that are separated at great distances will copy each other in real-time. http://www.thirteen.org/programs/nova/the-fabric-of-the-cosmos-quantum-leap/ We could send and relay a series of Earth messages broadcasted in deep space using an array of cube satellites that will be stationed at distances of light years. There will be no latency in receiving intergalactic messages for real-time extraterrestrial communication. |

We make clone satellite cubes that have the quantum entangled atoms. The Terrestrial Group satellites stay at a research station on Earth and the Space Group satellites are travelling in deep space. When we make changes to the Terrestrial Group satellites on Earth in the research communication laboratory the 'message' will be duplicated on-board the Space Group in deep space. |

Perhaps forming words and images using quantum entanglement for interstellar communication is possible today. IBM formed nanoscale words with 35 xenon atoms on a copper substrate. Experiment from November 11, 1989. source: http://www.nano.gov/nanotech-101/what/working-nanoscale |

This image from Pixar is one example of how to use the nanoscale image when converted to output to a Pin Art grid using aluminum and heat resistant glass. |

My theory is that we will soon develop faster than light speed / instantaneous communication capabilities using Quantum entanglement, thereby making most other forms of long distance communication obsolete. That means we will have advanced from smoke signals to entanglement communications in only a few hundred years Terrestrial civilizations will most likely make the same rapid discoveries. So only during those few years when they are still communicating using radio waves (before they change to entanglement communications) will we be able to detect their radio wave signals. This could then explain why we haven't found them yet. I also wonder if entangled particles are able to be entangled over large distances because they are linked to each other through another dimension where distance almost / does not exist. |

I also wonder if entangled particles are able to be entangled over large distances because they are linked to each other through another dimension where distance almost / does not exist. I also wonder that:) It's seems like particles are connected to each other where there is no distance. Like they exist in dimension zero. Dimension zero already exist in our universe but is hard to understand. On the other hand 2D dimension also exist but we don't live there either. Now this is not something new. Some scientist suggest that we live in a 2D world like in a hologram, Leonard Susskind thinking. According to him the 3D World is nothing but an illusion. But a zero dimension. Seems very overcrowded to me. No space at all:) |

Something I've learned from my Monographs is that we are already subconsciously communicating through spacetime or the aether, as it is also called. (consisting of helium 3) Greek thought ether was this. Ether (atmosphere) is the force that separates the space from the blue sky. He is the son of Nyx (Night) and Erebos (dark). His sister is Hemera, the today goddess. Every evening draws Nyx a cloak of darkness over the Ether and in the morning pulling his sister Hemera away. Just Ether stands between our world and the black abyss of Tartarus. He guards the border between these two worlds ordered by Zeus. Thoughts travel fast. I can for instance Think of places I have been to in an instance. |

In addition to a dimension linking particles I figure that some particles in an atom are located in several additional dimensions; (fifth / sixth / seventh, dimension etc) This would be where all that dark mater and dark energy is hiding. I hope we will figure this out some day, Ods are that we will wipe ourselves out before that time. |

In addition to a dimension linking particles I figure that some particles in an atom are located in several additional dimensions; Or... There is energy 'hidden' in their vibrations that have a parallel explanation as 'other dimensions', but that are not actual 'other dimensions' in some other 'space'... All our 'dark energy/mass' could just be that our space is vastly wobbly but only as seen at small dimensions... We are all a quiver like an infinity of wobbly jelly! And welcome to the forums! There was a cave in the "Adventure" game I played in the Eighties where you found yourself in a labyrinth of small wobbly wormholes all different and you had to choose the right one to go ahead. This was described also in the book "The soul of a new machine" by Tracy Kidder, which I translated in Italian for Mondadori. A good book. Tullio |

The Soul of a New Machine is a non-fiction book written by Tracy Kidder and published in 1981. It chronicles the experiences of a computer engineering team racing to design a next-generation computer at a blistering pace under tremendous pressure. The machine was launched in 1980 as the Data General Eclipse MV/8000. Their project, code-named "Fountainhead", is to give Data General a machine to compete with the VAX computer from Digital Equipment Corporation (DEC), which is starting to take over the new 32-bit minicomputer market. KTH (Swedish MIT)) in Stockholm used VAX computers at that time. The server room was called "Vax Kabinettet" The Wax Museum:) |

Quantum entanglement can be used for communication, but.. If I understand correctly the qubits, photons or what ever entangled particles you are using must be generated simultaneously or entangled locally. Then the other one of a pair is transported to the place you want to communicate with. And after that the observation of either of the two will make the other one to collapse to the same state. The state need not be zero or one but anything |ax+yi| = 1, i.e. a complex number with a length of one. So the communication is faster than light, but the transportation before the communication may take some time. Let us say we transport a transmitter to our nearest star. With the technology today it takes about 10 thousands years. Thats about the time our human civilization has existed. |
