Does anyone know if I could rent a server over at Google Cloud and have it run Seti@Home for a period of time? https://cloud.google.com/ Would be interesting to see what it can do. |

Why don't you use the free trial to see what it can do? |

Why don't you use the free trial to see what it can do? Google sez you get $300 towards a 60 day free trial. And the Compute Engine at here says they have Linux VM's. "It is often darkest just before it turns completely black." |

With the 60 day free trial, you get access to dual core cpus. 31 hours to complete one WU of Primegrid (cpuPPSsieve) - 2600 credits/24 hours. This on a 2012 Windows server VM. No access to GPUs, so not impressive performance. On the other hand, you can install multiple VMs - don't know the limit. Terms of Service did not prohibit 100% continous CPU load, as far as I could see. |
