I bid up to ten grand for an axe that I personally recognized at having been one that Les and I played with at one time. It went for 450 thousand...............yeah. Out of my range, sadly.

My Les original was NOT put up for bidding. I cherish it too much to let it go, there is no price tag on it, but I can tell you that it is insured for a quarter of a million dollars. And the underwriter had no problem when I gave him that evaluation. He asked.......is this a bonafide Les Paul original? You sure that 250 grand is enough? It is unreplaceable at any cost, you are aware.

Really Mark, care to prove it?

I also have a real Fender Strat, Japanese edition, which the experts say are the best.

And WHERE did you get that kitty pillow??????

And yes, I do have the Les. Wrecked and badly beaten, but it is an original.
