I just noticed in "Windows Task Manager" that the seti@home proces is set to "Low Priority". I would like to set this higher, "Normal".

Is there anything I should know about before changing Seti process Priority?
Will doing this trash a work unit in progress?

and

Why is this the default, Should it be normal to start with?

BOINC runs projects at low priority on purpose so as to not interfere with other programs running on the computer. There is little to gain in raising the priority of the project apps.

You can always change priority manually but you would have to do this whenever a new WU started. There is no way I know of to automate this.
